Are all Virgo’s tidy? |

I thought it would be nice if I put up a question every now and then for everyone to put down their opinion etc. I have done this just for fun and it is not meant to be taken seriously!!
I have noticed that there appears to be two types of Virgo, the first being a very tidy, meticulous person who, just like my Virgoan Mother like to apply the saying ‘a place for everything and everything in its place’ type two appear to be extremely messy although they claim it’s actually organised mess. I am yet to meet type three, which I guess would be somewhere in the middle of these two extremes.
Please leave comments of your own opinions on this and any Virgo’s out there or friends and family of a tidy/messy Virgo…let’s hear from you too. Also if you have any questions you would like me to ask here then please drop me a line and I will put the best ones up

If there’s one thing I’ve found with Virgoes it’s they are either annoyingly clean and organized, or try to be but can’t because they are too busy. Strangely, the tidiest Virgoes I know are all men (I’ve dated quite a few).
And Virgoan mothers are my favorites. Becky, you are indeed lucky!

Every Virgo I’ve known has been extremely tidy. I was married to one and she drove me absolutely batty. I could hardly read the paper without her trying to straighten it out while it was still in my hands, and of course once it hit the floor it was put back in place better than it was when it was delivered. I even caught here loosely folding clothes from the dirty clothes basket that were waiting to be washed. The house was almost as neat and clean as a model home.
Although all the other Virgos I know are very neat and tidy, my ex-wife definitely took it to the extreme. The upside is, if you ever need a closet or garage organized and you have a Virgo that’s a good friend… enough said.
I’ve never known a Virgo that I didn’t like, but do have difficulty if I have to spend an extended amount of time in their presence. All in all, I have the utmost admiration for Virgo, and could certainly use some of their characteristics within my chart.

… and, I might add - the bookcase in the picture on the left that you’ve shown, looks much as mine looks, while the one on the right looks almost exactly like a particular Virgo friend of mine. Even the height and colors seem to be arranged in an harmonious way. It’s really quite cool in it’s own way.
On the other hand, if I were to take all the books from my cluttered bookcase, rip out all the pages and then throw the books and pages about on my desk, my Gemini wife would feel quite at home sitting at that desk, and may even confuse it as being her own. Funny thing is, she would be able to tell you exactly where every page is at in that pile of clutter. So, she’s also well organized in her own way. I, on the other hand am totally disorganized, due mostly to having about a zillion projects and interests going on at the same time. I’m not sure if all Pisces are as disorganized as I am. Or if all Virgos or Geminis are as I’ve described here.

I am a Virgo, and I just happened to stumble across this page. I had to post in response to this question. I am messy, by definition. Things are scattered about, however I still know where everything is, and everything still has it’s place… even if it’s just in the corner on the floor…

My biology teacher is a Virgo, so is one of my cousins. My teacher is tidy and organized and when she is nervous she cleans (as she has told us) every inch of her house and once she cleaned the whole classroom. My cousin’s room and office are messing-ly organized. It may look messy but it looks tidy at the same time. She knows where everything is and she manages her time. She also cleans when she is free or on weekends. I believe Virgo’s are just organized and clean when a certain emotion or feeling hits them or whenever they feel like it.

I am a true virgo to the heart. But I am the messy one. I totally agree with Elloit on this one. I know exactly where everything is and where its suppose to go. It gets messy for either two reasons
1. to busy pleasing everyone else in our life.
2. If we don’t have the exact thing that we won’t to put it up properly, it doesn’t get done.
Prime example, I just moved into my apt. I won’t hang up my clothes because I don’t have enough plastic hangers.
Damn Virgos, but everyone loves one!!!!!

I’m a teenage Virgo. I’m not clean at ALL. You should see my room. In one corner there’s a big pile of dirty/clean clothes (full of beetles and bugs.. x.x) and under my bed it is stuffed with junk and stuff from a few years ago. My closet is filled with unfolded clothes and used tissues, and when you open it, all of the contents fall out onto you, so I haven’t opened it in a while. But my mom is a Virgo and she is SO ANNOYING sometimes. Every second I’m free she tells me to clean my room or something like that. She reminds me of something every second I’m around her and she expects me to be a goody two shoes daughter.
I hear my Sagittarius and Aquarius friends talk about how they clean when they’re bored, or when they clean before they go to bed every night. I don’t understand how ANYONE would ever want to clean. It’s just so boring. *yawn*

Love Virgos, Attn to detail gets me. I’m aqua, but get along with them very well. I’d like to have thier “Tidy” thing. I’m very unoriganized. My mind is way to busy for details.

I am a Virgo and can say that I must be that third type you said you haven’t met. At times I am incredible tidy. With certain things like bookshelves and entertainment centers I am always meticulously organized (typically I use alphabetical order). But at other times and with other things I will allow a little untidiness to seep into the mix but I always know where everything is at all times. The reason we as Virgos can have a “tidy mess” is because we are cursed with an overwhelming attention to detail. Upon just entering a room we usually notice every detail no matter how small and have already completely stored and analyzed every part of what we’ve noticed almost immediately. I am the most likely person to know where your keys are even if they are stuck in the couch because I probably noticed them slip out of your pocket the night before.

I am beautifully organised but it can look a mess at times but I know where everything is, I rarely misplace/lose things - definitely not fastidiously tidy at all.

im a virgo on both the traditional tropical zodiac and the newly “more accurate” zodiac so i know im not a leo or something,and id have to say that im that third type of virgo. I inbetween and im messier in some ways and very tidy and clean in others. My brother is a virgo on the tropical zodiac but a leo on the “more accurate” zodiac and hes one of the messiest people ive ever met, and doesnt really share the attention to details, perfectionism and many of the other virgo traits that i possess.

I am a Virgo to the heart. Organized as all outdoors, just a little disheveled. I guess cleaning isn’t an intellectual sport! I mean like steph said if I fell as though I’m going to be enlightened by doing so I will. Im not nasty just a little cluttered. Filth and mess are two different things. Like stated by other Virgo’s, I know where everything it just doesn’t seem as though its organized to the untrained eye. Anywho, VIRGO’s rule we should start a club or something — LOL

Oh, I’m very much the third type of Virgo! When I was younger, and still to this day, my room was messy, but not messy. Most of the mess were several pieces of clothes floating around my room and the house (Mainly shoes and socks) but other places of the house are very clean. For example, I don’t let a day go by without me cleaning the kitchen , dusting the living room and organizing my book shelf in some way.
But that’s what I’ve realized. I’m very meticulous with organizing objects. I volunteer at the library and the Dewey Decimal System, it’s heaven for a Virgo! If not that, then I’m tidying several misc. objects or tidying clothes on strangers (Such as pulling off hairs on a sweater). I remember once, during my grandfather’s wake, my nerves were completely gone and so I went about organizing my distant aunt’s house! ;_;
Sorry for writing so much, I just thought I’d share, since im’ very relieved that I’m not the only messy Virgo out there.

As virgos are described i am a very neat, tidy, organized and clean, but also quite messy, i dislike seeing my room in such a state and spend any free time cleaning it, once i get started its really hard to stop, but it only gets messy because i’m such a busy person trying to keep everyone elses lives happy and dandy!

this mess though is still organized in its own way, i know where everything is, i also happen to know where half my friends posessions are as most of the time i will “spring clean” their rooms

I am a young (20) female virgo and I like my stuff to be neat and organized but actually doing the organizing is hard for me. once I start I always end up enjoying it but its hard for me to start cleaning (I am a snake in Chinese astrology which is where I get the laziness)

I’m a Virgo & I certainly have one of the messiest rooms. Since I have a Virgo mom AND little brother, I am constantly reminded to clean my room. & when I do, I make sure everything is put back into place. Thing is, even if it were to be left the way it was, I could still find anything & everything. If you asked me to find the stapler, I would immediately find it under a pile of stuff. I guess you could say I am type 2— “An organized mess.”

Well I would most likely be the third type haha.
I can have a pretty messy room and have clothes scattered around but when I get to cleaning I’ll spend hours makingsure everything looks pristine and perfect. I can never leave any other piece of the house messy though. My best friend is an Aquarius and she has the messiest room I have ever seen before in my life. Twice now I have gotten so fed up I brought over trash bags and started cleaning up the mess myself while she attempted to help. Guess that’s just the way I am, hehe.

im a virgo, im rlly messy. there’s nothing tidy about me, i simply CANT keep my room clean. i hate to criticize or point of people’s mistakes,although sometimes i do.

The Virgo that’s too busy to keep up with the housekeeping, yes, that’s me. When I do have the time I like to take my time, reorganizing shelves, cabinets, closets, eliminating those things I no longer use. Having the “right” tools for organizing (baskets, boxes, trays, etc.) makes the task a pleasure, but only if time is not pressing. Given my busy lifestyle, it’s challenging enough to meet my own standards for order; when others leave a mess behind I feel angry and my respect for the mess-maker diminishes. Pretty rigid. I’d like to be more balanced and tolerant.

recently i’ve started working in an office as a receptionist and i’ve already gained fame for my fondess of alphabetizing things and then making lists, however my room at home right now looks like a complete war zone. I think what it is is that I enjoy the act of organizing but I don’t nessecarily follow up on keeping it that way which leads to the mess. but hey then i get to organize it all over again later on, so I guess it works well
its a vicious but tidy cycle

well i don’t know but im NOT tidy! My room is like a clothes closet or something xd My clothes arn’t even in the closet! they are under my feet and ass when im walking and sitting Xd i don’t use my closet but im a virgo but i LOVE cleaning in my friends room xd
but when my mom asks me to clean in the living room i throw everything under the sofa and hurry in front of the computer with some snacks or chockolate x”) ’cause im actually the laziest person on EARTH! WOW i HATE cleaning! it’s my worse nightmare i would’t clean my house for one million xd ! but im not pretty much like virgos :/ i don’t know im a bit strange like i sit in the middle of the street with no shoes and talk to the phone or write in my diary xd or lie in the street and look to the sky well yeah… and i LOVE talking and LOVE critysizing or how ever you write it :S , but also im like now im crying but the next minute im the tree laughing my mouth of xd, and im a big flirt like everybody ! so yeah… i don’t know if im a tipically virgo or not xd

Well, I am a Virgo. I wouldn’t consider myself a very clean person. I do not like to clean. I clean when I feel like cleaning, but I am also not the type of person that leaves everything everywhere. I hate having clothes on the floor. I do not like having a very dirty room, but my room isnt the cleanist room ever either. Im sorta inbetween I guess.

its funny about the books shelves. Someone had made a comment about the messy shelve is still color cordinated in a way and how interesting. Well im a virgo and i get so sick of everything being perfect ( i cant help it!) That sometimes ill try and disorganize my stuff to make it look alil messy. Like my book self. It used to be organized by height of the books. And then alphabetically, and color cordinated and so on and so forth. Finally i just sad forget it and messed it all up. I like it better. It actually looks like a normal book shelf now lol

I’m a Virgo too (asc. Leo, if that can be useful in any way).
I’d love my place to be tidy and spotless (I HATE germs/bugs/etc) but I don’t have the time and will (am too tired) to do it on my own, so I live in my organized chaos (of course everything HAS to have its own place, even though I’m the only one who understands why there) and some really hated dust. It looks terribly untidy to anyone who sees my place, as they always say.
When I find it gets too much out of hand I start getting nervous and ditch whatever else I’m supposed to do to clean and tidy up (yeah, I go nuts and just fix it as it’s supposed to be/look), but it eventually goes back to disorder.
Oh… and my library looks so much like the “disorder” one.

This is funny. I am a Virgo, and i believe the ONLY thing NOT virgo about me is Tidyness. I have been told by numerous persons that i need to get organized or that most probably if they were to look into my room it would be a great mess. However, I can not stand a messy room. When i enter a messy room, my thoughts get clogged and i cant concentrste or think straight. So I would take everything and shove them out of sight =)
But in my mess, I do know where to find everything, and when i decide to clean its usually done in such a way that it is like a piece of Art. I would call that pretty darn Virgo if you ask me =P

I find this website VERY interesting, and thought this may be a good time to chime in.
I am a Virgo Man (27 Yrs Old), and I believe I would be the 3rd type you refer to above; the virgo who is somewhere in the middle.
I LOVE my home to be clean, and for every little item to be in it’s right place (boxes in the pantry have to tow the line, labels out, even number of rows…). However, when I am engaged in a project (im a programmer), I do not think or breath anything else until it’s finished, which then leaves my home with beer bottles, open pizza boxes, clothes on the floor, dirty laundry.. etc, etc… this goes on until either the project is finished, or I feel suffocated.
When that hits, I go on a 2 day cleaning spree, using everything from a mop to a toothbrush to clean the nooks and crannies…
I sometimes believe that I have a “one track” mind, and when I’m not working that mind is geared towards making sure my environment is clean and sanitary, as well as making sure my loved ones are taken care of..
It’s humorus looking at it from this point of view because it’s amazing that these two complete extremes can exist in one person…
Anyway, just though I would say hello…

I’m organized intellectually, and used to be a tyrant of a neat freak. But I dated a Taurus who was a slob, yet enjoyed life immensely and was very successful professionally and socially.
Since then, I’ve taken to leaving piles of paperwork strewn about as well. But unlike her, at least you can see my floor. And my book shelves are like a universe of systematics.
I’ve learned to appreciate the balance between chaos and order. Where we set the balance is what matters. Hopefully Virgos should do well in this day and age as knowledge and information becomes increasingly well structured and consolidated.

So, I like many fellow virgoeans found this topic quite interesting. I would be classified as a “messy” virgo my room is admittedly a disaster zone but to my surprise I am able to find what I need/want. I’ve always been this way much to the frustration of my parents as a child this was a constant struggle they wanted it cleaned and I wanted it perfectly clean and organized. Which is probably why I live in this mess I don’t have a place to put everything so papers pile on desks, closets clutter with clean clothes, shoes litter the floor, bags and boxes migrate under my bed. Funny thing is…. I look at organizational magazines and get totally jealous(I need more $).
That however is the state of my room if I had more guests frequent that would be a different story. For my kitchen has a place for everything and everything has its place. I try not to be such a virgo about it (I have two roommates 1 slob 1 who sacrifices order for cleanliness) so once a month I organize the kitchen & living area while they’re out of the house.
In short, I’m an organized clutterer who freaks out and binge cleans…

Well, I am a virgo but I think I might be in between those two extremes. When I want to know something I look at every angle, yet, when it comes to grammar, spelling, obnoxious orgnization, I’m not always correcting it. I’ll let the house get really messed up yet in an organized pile, then I’ll tediously clean for a few days which means EVERY corner of EVERY room must be perfect. But normally, it’s just a comfortable environment to where you can put your feet on the coffee table and not worry about coasters. That’s probably my own unique perspective on it though. I know virgos that bleach their dishes, dust ceilings, wash windows inside and out, spell check grocery lists, and measure spaces between picture frames, which I only do on occasion.
I tend to aim for comfort, not perfection.

Being a Virgo myself I have to say this:
Virgos are highly ANALYTICAL. (the most of all the signs)
This does not mean they are tidy.
My room has always been a mess until about a year ago I decided that keeping it clean would reduce future wasted time and stress. Ever since, It has been nearly spotless, lol.

I can assure you we’re not all tidy, I’m a virgo myself and I’m well aware of my very messy nature and tendency to lose things etc, although it’s true I do try my best to keep things, especially things I don’t want to lose in a good place where I can find them and being unable to locate an item when I need it can drive me completely mad.

I’m a Virgo, and I have to say i’m the organized mess one. To most people my room or work space is cluttered, but I know where everything is. I once explained this to my mom by asking her to name a random object she was sure was in my room. Sure enough it was where I thought it was.
Generally if anything needs to be found I can find it, however I do have a bit of trouble remembering things and keeping memories in chronological order, so if it’s been a long time since I last saw something, it might take me a while to find it.
I pretty much go on cleaning binges when I’m stressed out, upset or nervous. I’m also prone to cleaning friend’s rooms, as one of my friends noticed when he came home from work and his DVDs and Games were Organized by System then by Title.
Everything I’ve mentioned at this point applies to homes, but at work, I keep a clean work space at most if not all times and get very upset if someone comes by and does something to clutter it up. it’s very strange. lol.

My son is 21 and a Virgo (Sept 15th) He is a slob…room a mess…makes a mess and leaves it there. However, he does take 2 sometimes 3 showers a day !!! So the Virgoian hygiene thing is definitely there. I wish he went more the other way when it came to being neat. I, his mother, am a Taurus and his mess makes me crazy! I have a friend, who is a late August Virgo…and he is the type 1 …Crazy neat and organized…It seems there are definitely 2 types of Virgo

I am a Virgo, and I’m very messy. The mess drives me crazy, though, but I’m not very tidy. I do, like other virgos have mentioned here, know where to find almost everything I’m looking for though. Since I’m a writer, I’m actually very organized and meticulous when it comes to writing my novels.

i am a virgo and i could hardly call myself organised, my mother is a virgo who lives in her creative caos and i have only one virgo friend who is tidy and she is tidy to an extreme! i think virgos only think they are tidy because we know how to find things in our mess : )

I’m a Taurean female, with a Virgo mother and a Virgo bf, and I see the 2 different extremes.
My mother is always buying stuff at great deals, then never has a proper place to put it, but can always find what she’s looking for. As for my Virgo bf, he’s constantly keeping things tidy and organized, and I love how his cleaning habits rub off on me.

I really have enjoyed reading about Pisceans and their compatability with Virgos’. I am a Virgo male and must say I love all the Pisceans who have so far entered my life. most of my closest friends both male and female are Pisceans . I am extremely attracted to Piscean females on both a physical and emotional level…. they exude grace in my eyes.
Regarding my own tidiness I feel I am very meticulous, however can be messy occasionally, however my own mess only lasts for about a day before I go mad and have to clean it… but in some twisted way I enjoy the initial mess untill it starts to freaks me out.
I find it very interesting that a Piscean female I know, has the most clean and organized living space, her books are organized by size and colour, everything flows with her very beautifully…. even stuff like her shoes are arranged in a harmonious manner… and this heavily attracts me greatly.
I do have to say though that Taurean mess drives me insane!!

I am a virgo, and i would have a messy house, but when I have that feeling of cleaning, and making everything at home organized it will definitely spotless and very very organized. lol. I think I turned my room around, furnitures and everything at least 4 times a year.and i would spend a day doing that…

I don’t like the idea of being messy, but you should see my bedroom, everything is disorganized, but one little fact that I need to include, is that I know where everything is, and I’ll always make it known to my mum to never clean my room when I’m not at home, since i know where I’ve kept everything!
one thing i hate though, dirty dishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF THE SINK IS FULL, i’m there in a heart beat, don’t know why! i can tolerate my messy bedroom, but no dirty plates lol.

I am a virgo female and also came across this site…I am not very organized to other people but in my head I know where everything is even in a disorganized mess…however when my room is clean I can see my perfectionist ways I don’t like when anyone moves anything out of place…and I have to say I love a good old clean room where I can breath with not too much clutter.
The times when my room is messy is when I am caught up with the business of life and sometimes my lazy tendencies…but my closet can get very very messy which is hidden. My room may look soo clean but if you open the areas that no one can see such as inside my closet.. sometimes things can be falling out when you open it thats how bad it can be :\ but no one would ever know if they don’t open it lol…
Hygene wise I am a clean person but clean as in messy I have my ways… Oh on a side note I know we virgo’s love to talk as you may have noticed with my long msg lol

Occasionally I will get into my cleaning moods but usually everything is messy to a meticulous detail. It’s gotten bad enough at times that my friend has nightmares about my room… haha…

hi there! i am also a virgo, i couldn’t agree more to some comments of those people above. it’s all TRUE. it’s soo weird. i’m the messy virgo too! yeah, that was right, i know exactly where everything is. and that’s right. we will not move a thing when we know something isn’t to be done yet. like, i have these piles of documents that i’d rather not arrange yet until i bought the folders for them.that’s right, my closet is a mess too! i can’t open the doors of my closet o everything will fall off, but it’s ok, i’ll just put everything back there like how it was before.

Wow.. and I thought I was odd!
When it comes to my house, I hate seeing it dirty, especially the kitchen!..to the point that I get on my knees to get the floor squeaky clean! but my room…total mess!..I have books, soo much clothes and shoes everywhere. But for some reason like other comments, I know exactly where everything is and never loose anything.
Having such detail memory really helps! The reason I don’t clean is because I have so much stuff and it overwhelms me just thinking of all the cleaning and organizing, which mean buying things to organize them into. It takes me forever to clean, cause when I clean, I clean! can’t do a half-ass job!..not a virgo! AND when I do clean I get so into it that I later don’t remember when I place my things in!..crazy!:)

I was reading this and figured that I would post as well. I have always read that as a Virgo I am supposed to be really tidy and organized. I can easily defend my so called mess as I always know exactly where things are. However, everyone else would probably define me as a messy person. Every so often I suddenly start to clean and put everything away and everything looks picture perfect, color coordinated, size coordinated etc. but it is not long before I am back to my “organized mess”.

I had to laugh when I read the description of a virgo because my cds are definitely ordered alphabetical, under my kitchen sink is spotless, my bookshelf is even nicer than the pic on the right and i don’t iron my socks however I do fold my underwear. And when I have a partner I also fold their underwear and reorganize their drawers to make sure shirts and pants aren’t mixed up. lol
And when things are a mess I always know where things are because anything I use daily gets used and put back in the exact same spot.
I also work in child care, so i taught myself to let go and let the children be messy with tons of paint, glitter etc. But when it comes to cleaning it I will try to get every last sparkle.

I’M A FEMALE VIRGO,LOL I VARY BETWEEN THE EXTREMES OF BEING NEAT AND MESSY. I GET SO MENTALLY BOGGED DOWN IN OTHER THINGS AND GIVING ADVICE.. I am a Virgo girl and I consider myself pretty tidy. However, in a middle of a week, I might start leaving clothes on a floor and dishes in a sink if I am too tired.. I always pick it up and dont let it pile up though as mess gets annoying. My ex was messy and no matter how much I picked up , he always managed to make more mess so after a while I became so frustrated, I pretty much gave up on cleaning alltogether.. And yah, THAT Virgo house was a very messy one- may be thats one of the reasons why my ex is now an ex..So it depends really.. If I know that no one will visit my place in nearest future, I might let cleaning slack a bit :). However, I now have a wonderful boyfriend and my apartment sparkles. hmm, I wonder if cleaneliness of a Virgo depends on how happy she feels?

I’m a Virgo woman who has morphed from being an ultra-organized, ultra-clean teenager (my clothes organized by type, color and season, albums organized alphabetically, my bedroom was color-coordinated etc.) into the sloppiest 52 year old on the planet! I’m still ultra-clean, but as I’m typing this email, I’m looking around my office and all I can think of is OMG what happened in here? Thing is, like many of you stated in your posts, we Virgos know where our stuff is — there’s a method to our madness, even if we’re the only ones who can figure it out!

I’m a virgo - and typical in some ways: analytical, intellectual, nurturing…HOWEVER, I am extremely messy. Not dirty - I frequently wipe down counter tops, clean the bathroom, change the linens, do laundry and that sort of thing, but I leave things everywhere, my clothes never make it into their proper drawers or the closet and I leave art supplies, half-read books and instruments - in other words, whatever I’ve been tinkering around with - wherever they land. It drives my Taurus boyfriend - who is almost obsessive compulsive with cleaning - CRAZY! The only habit I have that even leans towards neatness? I make the bed every morning, the second I get out of it. And that is the one thing my neat-freak boyfriend can’t be bothered with. In fact, it drives him nuts. Go figure.

I well may be type 3 but not in the middle of the others..just different. I go from one extreme to another depending on how long I can stand the mess or the neatness. I’ll be an organized slob then MUST have everything in it’s place the next week. And it drives me crazier than anyone around me!

I’m a virgo and i’m not that tidy but quite unorganized and messy as well , reason being there’re too many stuffs in my room which i do not have enough space to place them so i stacked them up in a corner and for things which i haven’t decide where to put i put them altogether in another corner , and i’ve always made myself busy doing things i like , like reading , painting and i spent more time on those delicacies instead of cleaning my room everyday , and i do clean to make my room as tidy as possible …but it all goes back to its original form after some time say a month or so .. I’m a virgo and I am totally not organized. I don’t know if it has to deal with the fact that I’m an August virgo (August 26) but I just can’t keep anything I own clean. I can be orderly with certain things like lists but I tend to just throw everything in every which way leaving me to never know where things are. I lose a lot of stuff :/ I don’t know if it has to deal with my moon sign either (Taurus) because I read that Taurus Moon Signs are messy/lazy which I would say describes me somewhat. haha, but yes, all virgos are not tidy! I for one am definitely not!

I am a Virgo and with tidyness I get quite ocd (obsessive compulsive disease :S) But the thing is I really really really want a lovely tidy bedroom but it never is
I am one of those people who just shoves things in cupboards and under beds and to the side as long as it’s tidy. I am also like this with my living room.

I would say I’m a mixture of 2 types. When people are coming around, the place always has to be spotless and generally if I have time spare I will clean. But, there could also be days when I don’t do any cleaning and will, for example, wait to run out of dishes before washing them. We’re very observant people, my ex (the cancer eating me up) used to make a mess on purpose on the coffee table in front of her friends and tell them to watch how quickly i get up to clean it.

In response to post 62 by Aishwarya, I think that us Virgos have the highest potential out of all star signs to succeed in life/business and have heard that we have recently overtaken Scorpio as the most powerful sign. We always cover our bums and look at every angle not to get screwed over in business. We notice things most others don’t and have excellent judgement (always trust your first instinct). My best friend is also a Virgo and is as successful as me in business. Lack of emotion (in me as a guy anyway) helps in this regard as we always see things from a level playing field and never get carried away. However you cannot be a shy Virgo if you want to be successful. I was always shy growing up but eventually learnt that I needed to shake it off and became more confident. I’m actually looking to meet a virgo girl so get in touch if you ever dump that scorpio lol.

For some reason every page I’ve seen about zodiac personalities it says that Virgo is the tidiest of all the zodiacs. So I’m glad to see that there are other types of virgos too, since I definitely not the tidiest person in the world. I tend to mess often though eventually I do organize everything. And it goes around like that all the time. So I guess I’m more the second type. Strangely enough I like organizing others’ things more then my own

All Virgo’s I know are very tidy, and very organised. Even if only in a subtle way (which sounds strange, I know).
First, I have a very good female friend of mine, who is anally organised, and has been diagnosed (not professionally, just by friends and family) with slight case of OCD, which she finds absurd (of course). LOL! It’s quite cute actually.
Then, I have a male Virgo friend who seems to be the complete opposite, and is very VERY (almost painfully) messy, but manages to find whatever you ask of him IN that mess. BUT, every so often he’ll shock me - usually when it comes to his work (he’s an electrician) - he’s very punctual, his work vehicle is extremely organised (everything has a place to go, and is organised by height, and even labelled, wires and such are also colour coded). And he’ll check over something two or three, even five or six times before walking away from it.

I’m a Virgo born on the 21st of September Libra Cusp.
I’m meticulous,tidy,perfectionist & a worrier.I clean a house with in an a hour when it would take someone else all day or days.I’m uncomfortable in a mess.What ever I’m into at that moment I obsess till its the way I want it.I’ve calmed down with age. when younger,My guest could not get me to sit down,Everything had to be perfect. Now I don’t obsess as much.lately I’ve been obsessing over Less is More. Less item in my home means less to move when cleaning.I have four dogs & one cat & have a rescue with two dogs & two cats right now.with all the animals my home, rescue, & office are very clean. Is that type one?

I am a virgo and I didnt think I was organized until I looked at the 2 bookshelves above and then it hit me. Maybe I am a true virgo and I’m just in denial. My bookshelf is definitely the one on the right but my room is a different story. I have clothes and shoes thrown all over the place for days at a time but I do clean about once or twice a week and then no one will believe me when I try to explain how filthy the room was beforehand. Maybe I don’t want to see myself as a neat freak but when I go to my mother’s house I always find myself cleaning up her clutter. She’s a pack rat and her bookshelf is the one on the left. It drives me insane and I fuss and clean it each and every time. I didn’t realize it until reading this post though. Thanks for posting and I enjoyed reading the comments. I thought I was just OCD or something lol. Turns out I’m just normal for my breed.

I’m a Virgo, and I’m super a organized freak! I got it super bad! The Military only made it worse…
I have a keen attention to detail. I can tolerate some mess, for a short period of time if I get busy, or sidetracked. Sooner or later, I will have to stop everything and line everything out. I can not allow it to go on forever.
The only reason I would every let dust settle in my house is if I become so busy what 1,001 different things (which is not uncommon) that I simply don’t have the time to do it. You can bet your bottom dollar that at some point it will get straightened out though!

I am a Virgo. I am obsessive-compulsive orderly. It doesn’t usually bother people though because I don’t ask them to clean up, I just do it for them. Also, all I have in my life is a 5 year old daughter who, as an Aries, is much much more disorderly than me. My mom tells me I was born with the “organizing gene” and that I was taking my clothes out of drawers & refolding them at 2 years old & making my bed. My daughter… definitely not born with it, but also not born with the shyness & anti-socialism, and picky-ness that Virgos are so lovely having

I’m a Virgo that’s in between. When I was younger, everything had it’s place and didn’t say messy for long at all. At the age of 5 I had the cleanist room in the house. As I got older we moved and I couldn’t control it because it was my mons mess and she doesn’t want the stuff to e touched lol. Now I am 21 and I’m tidy but I try to ignore little stuff because so much irritates me. The things that I go crazy about are canned goods and cereal boxes lol. My canned goods HAAVE to be facing completely forward and cereal stacked from tallest to shortest and when there are Some bigger boxes than the others it drives me CRAZY. I know where things are when my room is messy and it irritatese to death lol. Yeah I’m a Virgo.

I am a Virgo and would definitely say I am very tidy - on the whole….however, I do have a certain threshold of tolerance for untidiness..but once that is crossed, I become very agitated and uncomfortable around the mess and have an overwhelming need to ’sort it out’. However, on the other hand, I have some zones in the house of organised chaos…particularly with regard to paperwork and filing…where I really know I need to get stuck in and tidy it up, but just can’t build up the motivation to start…but I know I’ll enjoy it once I get started, and the amazing sense of self satisfaction I’ll get at the end (and I’ll enjoy admiring the lovely tidy organised end result over and over - and love showing it to anyone who’ll look!!) will completely make it worth it.
I think it’s a great quirk of my personality and I love being a virgo

I am a Virgo and would like to tell you one thing. even though a virgo is messed up…even then they know what stuff is at what place..and by any chance you move that thing from that place..virgos will scream at you saying “i know where i have kept my stuff…you don’t need to bother about that…i can manage my stuff…don’t need help in this…”
I have also noticed that there are two kinds of virgos…1) very classy and organized in life,career,family,good to look at . 2) messed up, abusive, irrational behavior , their life is a mess, family is not doing well,etc.

I’m a Virgo too but I’m not tidy when it comes to cleaning. I clean my place every second week and that’s totally fine by me. I like to have my things in order and to know where they are around the apartment. I guess I was worse as a kid and as a teenager. I’ve changed a lot over the years… And today I try to take it slow and be more relaxed. Of course I want my things to look good and have a certain place, but that’s it for me now. When I do something I do it 100% so I think I’m using my neat skills in a positive way now. As a teenager I made lists of many things, things had to look more or less perfect and I guess it was a some kind of safety blanket. I’m not like that anymore. Of course I still like order and I also write things down I need to remember, but nothing more than that. But I guess it’s a bit hard to describe… But I can see that my raising sign and my moon sign have taken more over in my personality. And it feels good to be more relaxed and laid back.

and that i love my tidy ness but it does get me in to fights with my sister .. shes a truse and shes is so so soooo messy i want to clean up after her but i cant bc its her mess but the longer it sits there the more it bugs me haha..

Most of my friends claim that I’m very un-Virgo-an. I am very disorganized, everything is a mess, and I’m clean but not a health freak. Also I’ve only ever dated Aquarius and Aries and I love them both. I’m a perfectionist with Myself and I am cautious, but I have moments of intense courage.
I do not criticize others. If someone wants to live in a mess, that’s not my business to comment on or change. Since I enjoy doing cleaning (it’s calming), I don’t scream at my boyfriend to keep clean. I do appreciate when he Does clean.
The most Virgoan part of me is I do try very hard to get people I care about to make good healthy decisions and I will help/push them thru it. My friends think I’m pretty motherly haha. I’m just very nurturing and want the best for the people I love. BUT cleanliness and organization is not what I’m concerned about at all!!

I would like to add, however, that I Do know where my things are. I hate schedules and routine when it takes over my life, but I do make lists and when it comes to Information, I am very particular in how it is organized. I think differently and make unique connections so I organize my mind according to that.
Still, this doesn’t transcend into the cleanliness of my home. Except for the occasional mad cleaning spree! Still, this I will do alone and will rarely boss anyone to do anything.

I’m a Virgo and I need my spaces functionally clean. Weather it be my house or workspace. It doesn’t need to be spotless, I just need it to be clean and organized enough to find my junk quickly. If it’s one thing I hate, it’s looking for something that I’ve misplaced. But for the most part I’m a classic Virgo personality.

I’m a Virgo, and if I must say so myself (because really, no one else will for me :D) I like to think I’m quite tidy. I get really annoyed when somethings out of place. My books are really neat and I read them half closed just so I don’t bend the back. I’m weird. I think a few people have this to be honest, I don’t know if it’s just the sign but I need to have the tv’s volume up in 10’s otherwise I think it’s messy. (Yes, very weird.)

I’m a virgo in the U.S. (where we don’t use the word “tidy”) and I’m messy and cluttered as hell! I fit most all other descriptions of virgos well cept I have really worked to be open-minded and compassionate with others, not critical and judgmental. Just it annoys the heck out of me when every description of virgos starts with “oh, you are the cleanest, tidiest, neat-freaks in the world” cuz my house is cluttered with books and articles about spirituality and for grad school and I’m not “that” ashamed of it either (I though I always intend to clean up…). I still have guests over if they are in need of hospitality.

I am a virgo. As a child/teenager I lived in a organized mess. My parents just surrendered and shut the door. As I grew older and gained more responsibilities I needed to be more organized so that I didn’t waste time looking for things. i then became obsessed with everything having a place and being in it’s place. I’ve been accused of the model home thing. Really it gives me peace of mind to have the visual balance in my surroundings.

I am a Virgo. I wouldn’t say I am a complete neat freak but having my house or room messy drives me crazy. I often like to organized books or things by color and size and clothes and towels have to put folded a certain why. I do think everything has a place. And it takes me forever to clean because I want things clean, clean not just to where it looks clean. it usually takes me husbands a few hours to clean but it takes me all day and it looks like I haven’t done much because when I clean, I clean he just does wierd surface cleaning if that makes any sense.

I’m a virgo. The neatness of my place will depends on when in the calendar month you come in my place really. I always have a sudden urge to clean sometimes, and I do organised things well, label them, put them in appropiate place etc…pretty efficient too. BUT on day-to-day basis, I make my mess. Didnt return things to its place, I sometimes throw my clothes in the floor and didnt bother to pick it up etc.

And i’m messy not because I’m busy with other things, but because I’m to lazy to clean it up. I am a Virgo woman, and I have to say, I am somewhat both very organized but at the same time messy, or as I would like to call it ‘an organized mess.’ Although, sometimes my room may not be completely spotlessly tidy, I always know exactly where I put everything. I do love to clean though, and I can spend hours cleaning, because when I do start to clean, it has to be completely finished and perfectly ordered. For example my clothes have to be evenly folded, and sectioned into groups according to what it is. As for hanging things, it is also sectioned into groups and color coordinated. The only time I don’t like to clean is when I know I don’t have enough space for all of the things I own, or if someone else is trying to help me or tell me how to clean. I like to do it my way, and it must be done perfectly.

I’m a virgo and im one hell of a believer that my room should uphold the “a place for everything and everything in its place” motto. When I first got a room of my own, I spent the next day to list down whatever boxes or extra containers or dividers that i need for the new room before actually started tidying up. lol.
oh but i do have one secret. I have this small box to put in all the small stuff that hasn’t gone through classification and place assignments. I’m one of those virgo’s who lives in an organised mess… Haha everything might be all over my bedroom floor but I know more or less where it is. It drives me mad when my mum/me tidies up and I can’t find anything because I’ve put it away somewhere

I am a virgo
and a lot of the time my house is in utter chaos.. I have 3 kids and am a single mum.. so my non virgo kids make a lot of mess. I go mad sometimes and get on a cleaning buzz and organising buzz (with music) and have such a sense of peace and harmony and everything is right in the world when it is done. But it never lasts no matter how many times I vow..”I will keep this clean and tidy!”
The best quote I heard about us messy virgos is this “How come some virgos are so messy? Because they are so busy organising the compartments and drawers and cabinets of their minds their outer worls can get overlooked”
Also, as someone said..if I haven’t got the proper cleaning equipment..it gets frustrating..like a vacuum cleaner that works really really well!
meh… think I’ll clean up tomorrow..lol

I am a Virgo. I must have everything organized, clean, and tidy. I do believe that everything has a place and everything should be in its place, lol. I have actually got up during a movie on T.V. and started tidying up if I saw something out of place. My son has teased me saying I have O.C.D. Now I can tell him it is because I am a Virgo.

i am a virgo..and i am extremely tidy in certain places i always have to have the living room and the kitchen clean, my room too but its not always clean in the closet. why i say i am tidy is because when i come home from work like at 12 midnight and the living room and the kitchen is not clean they way i want it. i will start to clean like crazy, but because so that way i know i can sleep well with a clean house. its one less thing to worry about in my mind.

Stephrock has hit the point of the matter. Sensibility and efficiency taken to THE extreme. I’ve oscillated between the two types you’ve mentioned here, and can say I’m most happy when things are organized in a fashion where economy of motion and thought are optimal and its all aesthetically balanced.
However, if this doesn’t seem possible to me, I will do nothing about messes at all.
If you’re going to do it, do it right or not at all to the nth degree.
Don’t confuse messy with dirty though. Dirty will not be tolerated!

I’m a virgo and have a very busy mind. I think this depends on what is meant by “Tidy”. My life is in order. I know what i have to do and when - i don’t need a schedule just control over my life. All aspects of my work I complete to perfection (well, near to! - I’m pretty sure I’d never think something is perfect! - too critical). With regards to my house - a typically lived in house, with toys on floor, clothes that need washing volcanoing out of the washing basket and always a few cups lying around the house, the garden always needs mowing and dusting gets done eventually (when i do have a clean its a complete overhawl of the house so everything is organised tidy and sparkling)- a little too commited to the cause i think). I have too many places in which I need order that my house work suffers… (and keeping on top of my finances too oooops).

I’m a Virgo…And I’m that Type 2 you mentioned. I’m not extremely neat and meticulous though I hate messes and I love being organized though I hardly find time to clean and get organized.

i am a virgo and i am both types. There are some times when i get really clean freak and some other times when i am extremly messy. i think this is related to my mood :i’m clean when i’m happy and i’m messy when i’m sad

I am a Virgo early part of month but I am not a typical Virgo. I am not tidy and I don’t know where anything is!! LOL! But I do have the nice and innocent nature of a Virgo. I hate to criticize anyone and always careful not to offend! And I have anything but patience!!!

I’m a type 2 for sure. Whenever I read about my sign it hardly ever sounds like me, because people are always writing about type 1 Virgos.

I am a Virgo and I completely agree that there are 2 sides to virgos. There are the ones that are anal and must have everything organized or the others who are messy and dont fit the neat freak stereotype. I fall in the somewhat messy part - its not that I want to be. My fiance does not want to get rid of anything so I am stuck with all this stuff so I have no clue where to even start. My brain is on overload and I just quite. Usually if I do start cleaning I get stuck on stupid things like organizing the CDs in alphabetical order. This takes me several hours. By the time I am done the house is still a mess but the CDs are organized. I have tried to tell him it drives me absolutely crazy but he can not throw out anything and I feel like I am unbalanced. I do know it is def. not all his fault because I could be a lot tidier. So I guess I would say that I am kind of both….?

I’m a Virgo earth snake born September 1… I’m 22 now… I’m completely messy to other people but I know exactly were everything is.. People say I’m a slob… I’m to busy to clean… I could be out trying to cure cancer or find a nice cancer to date :p
