I wrote an article for this website a while back called “Life of the Aries man” I am very happy to see the feedback from the readers over the last few months and so I’m inspired to write more. Today I am writing about a girl I am talking to who is a Sagittarius, while I am an Aries of course. I’m hoping that this article will serve to show you something about same element couples and why they are so good- not just fire-fire (like, Aries and Sag) but I think the same principles apply to earth-earth, water-water and air-air pairings. In my opinion where there is will, there is a way and so I think all possible astrological pairings are compatible. Some are just more alike and easier to get along with each other than other ones. I have been with a libra girl, who I miss dearly. Aries and Libra are one of the six “opposites” pairings. Let’s see if we can compare and contrast.
I saw this sag girl on campus a long time ago and instantly felt a very strong connection. I knew there was something unexplainable there because she looked at me and I looked at her and it was as if I’d known her for years. We both couldn’t wipe that smile off of our faces. It was sheer happiness to see her and I could tell she was feeling the same. I was with my lovely libra girl at the moment and as I learned the sag girl was in a relationship as well.
Now things are like this, Libra girl and I broke up. Sag girl and I are talking and I miss my libra dearly L I am afraid to take things ahead at full speed with sag for two reasons. One, we are of different cultures and I have only been involved with something like this once and it wasn’t even that serious, so I don’t know how things will go. Second thing is, even though I am aries, a fire sign myself, I am intimidated by fiery girls. The only other fire girl I had a serious long term thing with was too strong and we fought all the time. I’m talking fiery, passionate, heated discussions, and she often times put me in my place. I can’t say I miss being emasculated like that.
Every time I come across this sag girl, I feel very attracted to her. She has these eyes that just draw you in.. Like a moth to a flame. My friends all say they don’t see what I see in her. My friends are mostly typical extroverted male jerks. They are very eager to point out that this girl has no body and by that they mean the lack of curves. It’s hard to explain to people that that’s what I am attracted to. It’s very interesting how all her habits and things she does, the way she walks talks and interacts with people is all very familiar to me. I can read her like a book from a distance. I know what she’s going to say before she says it. I can see she is insecure as much as I am on the inside and I can read how she puts up a really brave and strong face for show. We met at the gym. There you go, another stereotype confirmed. Fire signs are athletic and love spending time at the gym. haha. It’s hard to properly describe it but I swear she could be my twin. I don’t know what we would ever fight about. Granted, I haven’t spent much time close to her but I like to think that I and she would agree on philosophical things. The important things. That’s how it was with another sag friend of mine. We had a lot to talk about with each other and mostly agreed and had fun, making fun of, respecting, criticizing, reviewing and praising various things like celebrities, politicians, places to visit, things to buy etc. I felt very much at home and comfortable. There was no stress to go out of your way to impress the girl. She got me and I got her. It was lovely. I wonder if two people who are so much alike would make a good couple though.
And then there is the libra ex. I miss this girl so much. I made a mistake with her and let her go. I guess I hurt her rather deeply. I didn’t mean to. She was so good to me. She spoke her mind and really made me feel loved. She was a little needy and clingy when it came to the relationship. But, otherwise she was a very giving and forgiving girl. I got away with so much of my bs. I don’t know what I did to make her so needy though. She seemed like a free spirit when we met. She started complaining if I didn’t call and this is how we started fighting. I loved her dearly and the last thing I wanted was to lose her but that’s exactly what happened. When we first met and were sort of dating, she was sort of upset at me for leaving my ex before her when we were technically “just friends.” Her exact words were, “how can you just walk away from 3 years of history?” I always thought of her as independent and carefree. With her, I had a real sense of my identity because we were a lot different. I knew the things I wanted and the things she wanted and they weren’t always the same. But we loved each other and were eager to learn what each other’s interests were and to learn to love each other’s likes. For example, I always thought astrology was a pseudo science and that there was nothing behind it. She made me want to learn about astrology and now I’m hooked. In her mind, I cheated on her because I took an interest in the sag girl. She was always uncomfortable of the sag girl. She told me to stay away from “the gym girl.” I’ll be honest, part of the reason I wrote her that break up letter was because I kept thinking; kept doubting that since we are so different maybe we aren’t meant to be together. The sag girl seemed so easy to read. I thought that’s how a perfect relationship would be.
Today, I am not sure about what are better, same element couples or opposites? All I know is that I feel attracted to the sag girl and I really miss my libra girl. Libra girl doesn’t even answer my calls now. I can’t even blame her. If she did the same to me, I know I would have moved on and never looked back. I keep sending an email to her once in every two weeks, hoping that she isn’t much like me and has it in her to forgive me.

Hi mr Aries, so I can see that ure kinda need another view if advice on choosing opposite attractant(lumbar in ur case) or the same fire sign (Sagittarius girl)
So I’m a Leo girl who dated an Aquarius for approximately a year, and still on and off for the next 2years. Remind u that aquarius is an opposite of Leo. I tried so many times dating other guys and flirting just to get over him, but I always come back to him again. I didn’t really understand why do I keep coming back, since Leo has a very big pride they would let anyone let down, and this applies to other boys, when they leave, I won’t look back, but not with my aquarian boy.
I do feel and see him feels the same way about me,since we’ve through a lot and he let me know how he feels about me and said that he loves me (Aquarians just don’t express feeling, atleast not too intense) his actions and the way we keep coming for more also made ms realize now, that, atleast until this second, we have mutual feelings.
The big difference is in the superficial layer of how Leo needs big attention and physical connection, while aquarian is pretty much very aloof and very into mental connection. Leo is controlling while aquarius love freedom. The deeper layer is that both are adventurous. Leo admires aquarius’ individuality and dynamism, and Aquarius admires leo’s joyfulness and warmth.
On the other hand, right now I am having an intensive contact with an aries. Actually it’s the second time with an Aries boy. Both are very fun to talk to. Its like we always laugh over everything. Its another kind of understanding, the type of understanding that we understand why they take the actions they take bcos we would do the same. It’s like their personalities are familiar to mine.
Well , for me, as my basic principle is to be balanced,
I take my fire signs (Aries and sagit) as very good friends. The one I’ll go out to have fun as friends with everyone else. Bcos if we r coupled, it’s gonna be too much energy, to stagnant too, and if we have problems, it’s gonna be hard to overcome since both are very stubborn ( in a SAME way!) and it’s like “u must know how i feel right?! Ure the one who’s gonna do something with it!” kind of thing.
While with my opposite attractant, I find balance. My energy, my playfulness, my overjoyed feelings can be transferred to him. His individuality also makes me learn to be less dependence ( as naturally Leos r very attached)
If both are mature enough to understand the being of each other, it’s gonna be “meeting the halfway”. It’s like having a relationship with someone who holds a mirror. We can evaluate outselves to be better persons. not too much of our personalities, not too much ego. Life won’t be boring bcs u need to always maintain ur understanding and love towards each other. The Aquarius also learns to give more affection..
It depends on what u need. What do h need in life? The one who charges you fully loaded to face the dark depressing office for tomorrow, of the one you learn a lot of the art of understanding other kind of people? the one that makes you see different horizon?

I am a Leo and I only dated Leos from my element. I have to say a bit boring. Did not add much fuel to my fire. My opposite and the air sign is Aquarius, and boy do they keep my fire burning. But, its an opposite sign and although there is such tremendous attraction - air naturally lights up the fire and fire needs air to burn - the differences are many time too great to work with. In the end, air doesn’t need fire to exist, but fire needs air, and if air is elsewhere, there is no fire.
My most recent relationship was with Aquarius. I still miss him, I need him like air.

and yes, i need my air too.. but my air isnt really needy to me as i am to him.
and I agree to your last statement.. i cant deny that i think of him like,.. every time, and i miss him. (we’re off now, the last time i posted my comments, were still talking about the things about him chasing another girl and how about us.(which is a taurus girl btw). we came to a conclusion that we agreed to let things flow, and God will determine what God wants, if its meant to be, things will be wherever they must be. Lillaahita’alaa..
hmm i just want to ask you guys’ opinions, which one will aquarian choose, a leo girl or a taurus girl? anyone has experienced the exact signs? well, atleast what do u guys think? referring to my case.. thanks:)

Wow, i never realized the attraction was so great here, i’ve just started getting to know an aries man, and we click so much, on so many levels. he has aquaruis moon and pisces in venus.
But for your issue, i thibk your sagg friend is a party girl just trying to bust up your love. A genuine sagg, mature sagg wouldnt be out every weekend party hardy. If shes never acted in a sincere mature way to you than shes just playing and you need to return to the girl that loved you because sagg can take you on a fun ride but definitely a short one if shes not serious! just long enough to break your libras heart and end what could have been for real!

I haven’t been to this website in a while., just got here by chance today and happy to see so many comments. Wow., I can’t believe how many people have the same story and I thought something unique was going on with my life. I guess not…
I have so many things to say.. replies to post to so many comments., so i’ll just do it all in one comment right here.
1. A LIBRA WOMAN- that is unfair to say., you are taking my comment out of context somewhat. im an aries., making money isn’t my biggest goal in life… believe it or not.. living lavishly is the goal. i dont wanna say im the smartest guy in the whole universe, but im smart enough to know that i need to put my career before a lot of things so i am able to take care of the important things/ most important people in life properly.
about the libra girl…. you’re right. i pushed the envelope as far as she allowed me to and she let me get away with a whole lot. i would just call it a natural tragedy……it wasn’t her fault obv., and it wasn’t even totally my fault either. why did i continue to see the sag girl if lauren didn’t like it? well because i thought she would get over it. i had no EVIL intentions so i thought my behaviour was harmless.. i know now it wasn’t harmless after all.
i like your meals analogy. fast food versus home cooked. lol. good one. i can’t help but smile at how you appointed saggitarius the cheap fast food and libra the elegent home cooked dinner.

I can not for the life of me go to an office and dedicate every bit of energy, creativity, and strength into someone elses’ business in return of a little bit of money, a lousy pension and a few employee of the month awards. can’t. just can not. i have a business of my own and i make good money but there are short periods in which im just not upto it and in those periods i take it easy., recoup my energy and prepare to take over the world next week whem im able to work on full charge. in teenage years i worked as a construction worker. im talking, hardcore drenched-in-sweat kind of labour. it wasn’t a scheduled job.. more like come to work, work your ass off and walk away with a load. there would be times i would not go to work for the whole week and then the following week i’d spend 18 hours in one shift.. 7 days non stop for weeks at a time and walk away with twice as much as a regular person does, working at a daily, steady, pace.
6. Libragirl- hahahahaha at ur last line.. i was totally oblivous when i was a boy, but rest assured im very aware when a girl is throwing herself at me. it just too much fun to watch her fall. almost. because i never let anyone fall down. i got ethicts, or empathy or something like that… going on. pssssht. i know right……

now whooo the hell are talking bad about us aries?! Lol.
Aspacially libra girls are sweet and good, like honey. Why even talk about them, when there like the most down to earth signs, and cook heavenly good food. And the coffe they making, oh sweet jesus, it taste like home. And they smile alot also.
Scorpioladys also, they are awesome. And Taurus ladys to. I love them by the pound of it. I had a scorpiolady, but she kicked my ass to the curb and made my penis homeless. I was joking around, drinking with friends, without knowing that I was the one hurting her mostly. I gave her some time, and when she was not mad anymore I put aside my ego and met her on the half. We are making out every now and then.
But lets get back to libras. Everytime i meet a libragirl, we somehow checking out each other. I say something, she says another. A perfect dance. I undure her way of nature and otherwise. I can easily pick up when a libra is tired; When she dosent eat, clean the house or are straight forward about it.
Virgoladys are nice to, a little bit picky, but is ok in small portions. I have been dating a virgo lady for quite some time, and feeling the love of a lady born in virgo is just plush!
But for now on, im taking a nap. Be good to one an another.

one more thing. I hate ariesladys. One time a girl refused to give some of here chocolate, and i was really hungry. I asked once and she was greedy and ego about the choloate. I asked twice and she starting getting mad about me asking. We was friends somehow. I snapped the chocolate out of her hands, took a mouthful and ended up beeing her enemy.
But if we look deeper on my chart i have three dominant sign; Aries, taurus and scorpio. Asc. Libra. I guess it makes me somehow a awesome crossing?

Life: Your story is too familiar. I am an air sign like your Libra–I’m Gemini. It’s interesting the similarities when looking at your Aries/Sag (fire/fire) vs. Aries/Libra (fire/air) relationships. There’s a natural feeling of compatibilty between “like” elements but usu it’s too much of the same to work. Perhaps I’m biased but fire/air is usu a better match and it may be apparent looking at your continued longing for Libra girl. All I have ever dated are Aries men. We have a VERY NATURAL & MUTUAL attraction! And it’s INSTANT and apparent even before we know each others signs! Some had too much water in their natures & we clashed but there is 1 that took me by complete surprise: Since childhood, I’ve had a good friend who is Aries. I always knew we were attracted. My Aries boy was the ying to my yang! I don’t think either of us knew it as kids but as adults life brought us closer together. Perhaps the friendship made it comfortable and easy and I knew he loved me. And I loved him–I always did but didn’t admit it. We laughed and loved like nothing ever! Our intimate relationship ws out of this world! But his life was full of issues that wouldn’t allow him to stay and it broke my heart terribly because he wasnt supposed to hurt me. But for some reason I don’t think it was intentional. Over the 4 yrs following our breakup i always knew what was going on with him. He was in and out of relationships–classic Aries! Love at first sight & charges in headfirst with no thought. 1-by-1 I watched them fail & i knew they would but still and yet he always managed to find his way back to me (the air to his fire). Sometimes I think I know him too well & that scares him. Your Libra is prob the same way abt you. I’ve seen my Aries w/Sco, Vir, Cap and now a Leo (who i think is really Can). And NONE of them worked! This is where our stories are similar: his current relationship is fire/fire ( I think really fire/water). Again “like” elements do not always mesh. 6 mos. in, he calls me professing his love for me and how much he misses me. He’s NVR done that. I think the fire/fire in his current is too much. Aries must be 1st & that clashes with another fire sign. As air, we love for fire to take charge and we know how to diffuse it when it gets to be too much without extinguishing it completely. Sort of like you with Libra girl. & as air I find it so hard to remain angry with him. I blame him for always running back to me but the fact is I let him back in–because i love & understand him so much. Friends dont necessarily understand it. I’m Gem (sun, moon) & he’s Aries (sun, Lib-moon)–strong fire/air compatibility. Our moons are trine. The attraction and chemistry is inevitable and undeniable. my Aries and I arent on speaking terms right now but of course i can’t be angry with him for too long so I find little ways to let him know that I’m here. And he does the same. One day we’ll figure it out…as for you sounds like Libra is the air to your fire.

Listen! I’m a sag girl and my boyfriend is a Libra. We know each other for a few months now, and I think we have sooo many thing in comman!!! Actually when I met him, it was like a was talking to a mirror!! I love this man! But before a met my Libra men, I liked a Aries man, but he had a girlfriend. A year later he broke up with his girlfriend and he and I were in the same class. And I have to tell you Sags girl are funny, lovely,…. but I have to tell you Libra is the best!!! A libra is funny, sometimes too emotional, can teach you many thing, is balanced and that is what you need. A Aries is just an obession or a sag girl, but Libra is true love she will do everthing for you!!!! So as a Sag girl I say choose the Libra!!!
