I am an aries male with Aquarius moon, i think. I am writing to give the ladies who are or were at some point involved with an aries guy, some insight about the aries men from the source- and to vent a bit. I have experienced romantic encounters with female aries, virgo and libra. I will briefly go through each one of them and then share my thoughts and theories about zodiacs and compatibilities.
In my early twenties I got attached to this aries girl who was a couple of years younger then me. At the time I paid no attention to astrology and didn’t realize she was aries and even that I too was aries. She was wild and out and I was attracted to her rebellious nature. If I had to use one term to describe the relationship i’d use "make out" I don’t know if it was the hormones or something else all that we did with each other was make out. There were hardly any time we sat together alone and not tried to each others tongue. lol The sexual tension was intense to say the least. Being with her made me realize, a few years later when i recognized that we were both aries, that aries is a difficult star sign to deal with- in matters of romantic relationships at least. The good thing about the aries-aries couple is that they both love to fight, so when there is an argument each gets off by igniting the fire in the other and yelling at the other and they grow together in their twisted way. Its like a very entertaining pay-per-view fight. Its hard for an aries to get bored of another aries which is real plus because getting easily tired of something is a problem inherent in us arians. She pushed me to out do myself and I enjoyed that. I was taking some time off college to save up some cash. She pushed me to work like an animal and I appreciated that. As I later learned a woman that backs up a man’s work ethic is essentially spoiling him because in my experience such understanding women are rare. She was very understanding when it came to me earning the doh. She went out of her way to prep me everyday like a warrior who is going out into the battleground. I excelled in life having such a strong woman and I didn’t even fully appreciate that fact about her. I have only secretly longed for a strong and passionate girl like her ever since me and her parted ways. You might be wondering so what could possibly have went wrong with this union? Attitude problem. We came to the point where we were in a constant battle to hurt each other’s ego. Somehow It became a love-hate thing where we both loved each other so much and yet couldn’t help but battle at every chance. One thing about us arians is that we are- both male and female- emotionally insecure and don’t like to recognize this fact so we fall into denial about it. Two arians can do a lot for each other but can’t provide to fill the voids that they both share.
Me and her still fight, having broken up in 2006. Until the beginning of this year (2009) we were facebook messaging each other and arguing about who was at fault. I wont lie, I fully enjoy seeing a message pop up every 6-8 months to which i respond with skillful speech. I love to hear I made her cry, many years after we parted ways.
My second and longest lasting encounter (2.5 years) was with a virgo girl. A very intriguing affair to be sure. She was so different in the way she thought, analyzed things, and expected things that it very quickly became a very fascinating challenge to understand this new specie that I had discovered. I could see in her eye that she too was fascinated to say the least to see a creature so different from her. Virgos tend to be slow paced and more enigmatic then the aries can tolerate. At first it was a very unique and magical thing- My rule for relationships is that any relationship even one between two totally incompatible signs will have a grace period of three months at minimum where things would be rather magical. I think you face reality of your relationship in the period following the first three months of the initial hook up. In all fairness this girl probably loved me a lot. She used the term "breaking-love" as in such deep love that can break a person’s spirit if the love fails. I never felt loved. Now here’s the point I’m making, despite all her efforts she failed to make me satisfied. She never boosted my ego- which is a must for an aries man. She pointed out my faults which the aries usually takes as constructive criticism and uses to improve himself. Once she pointed out that I finished my college degree but never pursued specialization in my field. Two months later, I found myself resigned from my job and working on my CPA exam and licenser. I finished it in 8 months and threw her criticism in her face. What I became tired of was the lack of compliments. She quietly acknowledged my positives, but gave no positive reinforcement. A healthy dose of criticism does wonders for the challenge-loving aries as long it is balanced with an ego boosting reward too. Basically to sum things up, to this day, I can’t be sure if she even loved me. Thats how different we were. I mean if I make all the logical deductions then yes of course why does someone stay in a relationship for 2.5 years, why does one cry and tell you they love you. They probably do, but in the words of my favorite band, Savage Garden, "if love was red then [I] was colorblind."
This one made me realize one thing about astrology. I often read people commenting on a supposedly good match, like one between Aries and Aquarius. Someone wrote, "I couldn’t run away fast enough, I don’t see how we are compatible at all" There are many aspects to people, astrology is one of them. So it may or may not dictate the compatibility. However, the non-compatibility analysis is far more accurate in my opinion. An example is the attraction that Cancer women and aries men have for each other. I have personally never had such an encounter. Two of my best friends are cancers so I have a fair understanding of how the cancers work. I have seen that cancer females attract aries male and aries male draw out the cancer females. There is a natural opposites attract kind of magnetism at play here but these two are so different in their needs and wants that this rarely works beyond the grace period of 3-months. If you enjoy a good heart ache then go for this kind of union. Its a natural disaster (volcano) waiting to erupt.
Now Aries are supposed to be best matched with sadge girls, aqua girls and leo. I happened to never find any of these girls appealing in that way. There is a Sagittarius girl who I knew from college. She is a ton of fun. I totally get her. So much so that there is no mystery or intrigue left there. So I didn’t go for her. She is a beauty, the girl who every guy in school wants but is too intimidated to even talk to. Aqua girls are too strange- i hate to use the term freaky but more like stand outs from the crowed. I just never met a leo girl who knows maybe she is the perfect match after all. Oh well.. too bad. lol
I am seeing a Libra girl now. My mum is a libra. This girl is nothing like the libra my mum is because me and my mum hardly ever agree on anything. She reads astrology a lot and says that aries and libra are legendary. I just love her optimistic view point. I neglect to tell her that mum is a libra too. lol. She has tremendous patience which I have never seen in a females- its something I always wanted. At this point in life I have to come to terms with the fact that Aries are hard to deal with. The rules of engagement are so complex and make it seem hardly worth a girls time and energy. I love that this girl is right up there with me. I’m talking about taking a road trip from new york to the east coast and she is enthusiastic and upbeat about it. Most women get exhausted from the aries energy and the need to jump from one adventure to the next back-to-back-to-back. She looks up to me and I love to take care of her. I’m happy to announce we’ve been a thing for four months now. Hopefully things will remain lovey-dovy even after the grace period of love magic. She is a small girl and I love love love that. I love being able to lift her with one arm. Historically I have been attracted to the larger breasted females; I never knew how sexy cup size B could be. I learned that aries men are attracted to the girly girl, whether she be curvy or not. As long is she has a very feminine figure, it work! She is the skinniest girl I have ever been with and I just can’t back to anything else.
One last thing, I want to add is that I recently found that my moon is Aquarius. Someone told me this leads to solitude in life. I have to agree, I often find myself very lonely and unable to hold small talk. Someone with Moon in the Aquarius please tell me more about how this occurance effects the individual. Well this is the summary of my arian life. I tried to keep my rant short and to the point but think I might have failed here. lol. I hope someone will read this and be able to take something form it.

Thank you for both of your responses Aries Man and AriesMarriedAries. We have worked through the hiding crises…although he never did tell me what he was hiding. I love him very much. We are so similar and yet so different at the same time. It seems that we go from extreme to extreme. The hills are so high and the valleys are so low. It seems that we find something to fight or argue over every other day! Is this normal? We are both terribly selfish at times and neither one of us can seem to sympathize with how the other is feeling…for worrying about our own selfish feelings and needs. We are both becoming extremely jealous and possessive of each other…asking each other every single day if the other has had sex with our spouse. Its crazy. One thing i secretly love about him is how he loves me. Im sure ive never been more loved in my whole entire life! But the secret thing i love about him is how he can knock me off balance…when i know, AND HE KNOWS that i deserve it. It isnt fun to go through at the time, but probably neccessary. He puts me in my place and i just gotta respect that! When we have fun together…its REALLY FUN! We are both smart-asses who like to spar and go one better than the other! He loves me as much as i love him…of this I am sure. Even if I had to end this affair out of necessity, I dont know if I could. This is one good reason why never to allow affairs to begin in the first place.

Hi author! I really loved reading all your articles. I hope the best for you. I just read the other article of “fire & fire or fire & air”, if the same signs are best or if the opposite signs are. I happen to be Libra female, 19. I only had 2 serious relationships and both with 2 Libra males. They both ended bad lol. Now I am interested in a guy who is a Leo! I see that maybe it’s different for everyone

I have been reading alot of negitive comments about Aries all over the place. I know this isnt nessisarily relivent to the above post but it is relivent to Aries.
Loving an Aries man is like owning a pitbull. I know, cause I’ve done both. Pitbulls are loving, loyal, tenasious and all around wonderful dogs, for some people. If your not understanding, loyal, loving and strong you shouldnt own one. Same goes for an Aries man. They are loving, loyal, tenasious and strong but thats only when they love you. In the same token under the guidance of a weak, abusive or neglectful owner pitbulls can be “bad dogs”. Same goes for Aries. Note I’m not blaming aries for there bad behavior as much as I blame “impropper care” due to low compatability…
I know it’s a strange analogy but out of all the people i’ve known Aries are uniqe in a way that is hard to explain. They are by no means what you want if you’re looking for the “Labrador” kind of man… They make up there own rules to the game and you live by them or you dont live with them..
If you are looking for prince charming? Forget it… more like prince sarcastic arse… lol But some girls like “prince sarcastic arse” …I know I do… It’s fun, but I am strange…
Once they trust and love you there is no greater loyalty or love you can know. But in the mean time you worry if this one “has bad breeding” While all the while trying to over come your fear of “getting bit”.
Aries arnt bad dogs.. achem ..I mean, men. ..lol… They’re just a special breed. Not for the faint of heart.

I dated another aries, and it was almost magical.. but in the first argument we had, neither of us wanted to back down. And we never spoke again. very funny but very real and none of this wishy washy stuff which, lets face it, all the other signs bring
I feel like with another aries they would totally embrace whatever moon you have and lift up those deeper emotions. I’m so ready to find that person that I can lift up. I feel like as an aries that s all we are sometimes. Aries: the hero of the zodiac. I miss my Aries too because i always knew that they would expect the best out of me
Been dating a pisces lately and its proving difficult because they don’t like communicating (or argueing as they put it), and for me communicating is almost a turn on or something.
Being an Aries is hard. I also read yesterday that Aries has the lowest population while cancer has the highest. So feel confident, young ram. haha

I’m an aries female with aquarius moon, so same as the author! I’m dating an aries male with scorpio moon. He’s towards the beginning of the sign (4th April) and I’m towards the end. I feel like out of the two of us, I’m the ’softer’ aries at times. I also feel like I’m dating myself at times, and I feel it is very important to ‘play the game’ to keep him interested. I’m not sure how it will go for the future when we really get to know each other. It’s been 2 months since we started dating, and at first I played the dominant role, but after becoming aware than an aries female tends to do this, and an aries male doesn’t like this over time, I have tried to down play my ‘toughness’ and have tried to rely on him more to do the little things like order at a restaurant or lead the way a bit. From my viewpoint currently, I don’t see this as bothering me and I think I could get used to it so maybe that’s a good sign that things might work further on down the track! It’s funny how someone commented on the authors comment of how he loved to hear that he made her cry many years after they broke up. They said how it was very honest, and they loved the honesty. Quite frankly I often make little honest comments like that all the time, and I’ll tell my friends and they’ll laugh, and I don’t get why they laugh, everyone thinks it, I only say it cos its true. Is it a bad thing to be this honest? I dated a Leo guy a while back. Author, you say you’ve never dated a leo girl. and perhaps she is the one but you’ll never know, I dont mean to rock the boat with your current partner, BUT yes, with a leo it feels like you are complete, and as corny as that sounds, that’s the way I felt. The reason it didn’t work with the leo was because I was highly impatient and he wanted things to develop naturally over time. I pushed him away by being too full on. I was young and naive to understanding how relationships develop. I dated a taurus too. I always felt secure with him, but never felt like he was the one, I felt more in control. Not like it felt with the leo, he was definitely the one in control. The aries I’m dating now, well it feels like we’re on par. Not sure who will read this little rant, I’m just airing out my thoughts!! I have a feeling though that when they say,’ when you meet the right person you just “know” they are the one you will end up marrying’, it is true. Or at least I hope it’s true! I’m still quite young, I probably don’t need to look to get married for another 5 or 7 years, however it spooks me that I won’t know I’ve found the one. How do you know when to stop looking?

im dating an aries man for 7 years, always argue and fight. both of us have a bad temper, explosive and wanted to control each other. we recently talked about marriage early this year, but because of my explosive temper, he just drag the marriage. he told me to behave and follow and obey his orders. and by he doing this, it hurts me so bad. by him doing this, it makes me even explosive and angry all the time. Recently, my parents just got divorce and my relationship with him is going down as well. i was in a bad mood (my family problem) that when he called last week, i nag and said nasty hurtful mean stuff about him that i really didnt mean it. i didnt have a clear mind and it just happened that he called, and he become the victim. last week, he told me that he dont love me and doesnt want to do anything with me again. but i love him dealry, and looking forward in the future with him. for the past 7 years, altho we often fight, we never broke up. now, what should i do? how to win his heart back? coz i really have hurt him real bad. i apologize, but it seems, he is cold and really pissed off. helpp!!!!

I am a CANCER woman who is dating an ARIES male, and truth be told, I don’t see me being with anyone else! That’s the guy I wish to marry!- and he said this first, not me!!! The opposite attraction you mentioned was on point but we have a few things in common (i.e. TRAVEL!!) LoL We’ve been together for a year- which took WORK at first! ARIES MEN ARE DIFFICULT AS HELL!!! and because cancers are at the opposite end of the spectrum, a lot of arguements arise… I couldn’t understand his asshole ways and he couldn’t understand my sensitive nature. (But personally, I’ve always been drawn to fire signs and their loud personalities, I hate getting bored as well). After awhile with all the arguing, I thought we were gonna break up- but the feelings we had for eachother when we met weren’t for nothing (I fell in love with him QUICK and so did he) so we both figured to stay and see where it went.
In the beginning, it was like damn where the hell you come from, and now that we understand and STILL LEARNING eachother its like damn, are you my soulmate?!?! it’s like we draw from eachother’s strength where we are flawed, I really can’t explain our relationship but being with him is the best thing that has ever happened to me and i can confidently say that its the same for him. I think the key to this pairing is patience, communication, and compromise the 2 signs are EXTREMELY differently with loud personalites (at least in my case). In my opinion, you don’t want someone easy to figure out, you want to take a life-time learning them while having fun on the way. He’s a smart ass (as am I), critical, pessimistic, vibrant and all of the above and I wouldn’t change a thing. There’s not a day where we don’t laugh, challenge, play around, talk, yell, compliment, treat,etc eachother. I love the fact we’re different, we both have things to bring to the table… which is why we both work so well. The pairing may not work for everyone, but it’s working for usand its great a great ride thus far…

to the comments about how terrible the author is for his pleasure from his ex’s pain, you’ve obviously never been an aries. you’re ridiculous to think gender roles between a double aries couple means anything; female aries do the same exact thing, it’s part of the dance.
additionally, what you’re not reading in this article is the parts about the male was probably just as hurt during parts of the aries-aries joust because it would an admittance to tiny defeats, to himself, his ex, and the readers out there. the aries female telling the author about how she cried must have been part of some sort of strategy, maybe to evoke guilt to continue the fight or reveal something honest in effort to try the forgive-and-forget process.

Aries dude, i thought this was pretty interesting prolly because i am an Aries and i agree 110% that we are difficult to deal with in relationships sometimes i feel bad for my b/f putting up with my hyperness sometimes im not like that all the time im learning im astill young.. but sometimes Capricorns must take their time with everything but we get each other because my moon is in cap. So ur best bet is a aqua girl trust me if you read ur correct moon sign aqua might even be ur soul mate but ur gf might be too im not trying to be god lol but im just saying my moon worked for me. Cancer is also correct they are too clingy and i end up snapping at my one bf it lasted about a month. i also was with Virgo and the guys are attractive but we just are on two different mind sets i totally get my vigo girlfriends but that one guy was just not my type at all. but anyway my moms a Libra too which is pretty weird but my advice to you is try looking at ur moon sign again in a book u think is trustworthy cus it might be in libra not in aqua. peace

To Arian with Aqua Moon:
You are the best, as I think Arian men are. Thank you for your confidence in how a Libra Woman should stay and be patient with her Aries Warrior. I am having a hard time understanding the Silent part of you all. I was challanging my Aries to come and take me. This is what I said; I am not satisfied with you at all. You are not handling your business when it comes to my sexual needs. I am thirsty and you are not quinching my thirst. Come and quinch my thirst Baby!” NOW, for the last 9 days, I have yet to hear from him. I am there for him, support him when he is down, I am at his beacon call. But I will not tolerate his silence. Being a Libra, Communication is key to us. He has done it to me twice ever since we have been together.
I have apologize if i had said anything to hurt him, but i also told him that I will not apologize for how I feel. I explainded to him that everything I had said was just to ignite his fire to come and get me. But he still had not called or texted. I have sent very exotic pics and videos to him. But he has still resisted.
I am always a ear, a heart, shoulder and financually there to assist.
I love this man with all my heart. NOT just as my Lover but as a friend. I look up to him and look to him for advice and comfort. His presence sooths me, his eyes make me go wild, and his touch sends into a everlasting porn mode. I caress him and stoke that ego. Like there is no way to stop how I love to see him smile. I will do anything to keep him smiling. I just know that I will always express how I feel to him. He does keep me on my toes, so I know to keep him interested is to keep him running after me and on his toes. He know my heart. I just dont understand the silence. He knows how I feel.
Please help me understand him and why the silence comes when I get assertive when it comes to how I feel.

We Have Been together for 9 months and have been knowing each other as friends for 12 years. He is my Nephews uncle.
Also, he told me that he wants me as a best friend more than he needs me as his woman. What the hell does that mean? He explained it to me. But I couldn’t understand it. but he tells me that he wants me and needs me. He wants me as his friend first to make sure we will work as a full blown relationship. But we rarely see each other. The most is twice a week for the total of 6 hours max. I don’t know what to do. When we are together, we are unseperatable.

Im an aries guy and i have been in a relationship with an aqua girl for 2 years now, she has really made me feel secure and i really respect her a lot , and she is the sort of a girl who will hate ppl i hate and love ppl i love and one thing i have noticed is that she wants the same frm me , i have also dated an aries girl which was lyk the best couple of weeks that i had but she is a very difficult girl to talk to , she is extremely beautiful and sexy all the people in the dance floor like went crazy watching us dance and the kind of chemistry we had was brilliant ,she is really open and i saw her dancing with lot of other guys also, but whn i talked with her on this she didnt like it , one thing i will lyk to mention here is that as couples we wer like “soo hot” you can call it lyk the centre of attraction i found guys lyk stopping and staring at us but it didnt last much as my aqua girl is such a sweet heart i cannnot take the huge ego of the aries girl also viceversa
and about capricorn girls guys pls stay away they will never understand you even if you skip your lunch and see her she will be like without any feelings and an aries guy cant take that…one thing i forgot is abt gemini girls i had a good FF(fuck frnd) she was awesome…i still call her sometimes and she is like really really great just enjoy the company of gemini girls

dear Bold And Sexy Libra, with a touch of October in your eyes.
As an aries, i love to get suprised, and you on the other side, love to please, weather is by cooking the best food, making the most awesome macchiatto or dropping your skirt when your man enters the door. I guess what I am saying is that you are doing good somehow.
I know my self and my heart, and i know that if someone is doing stuff like what you told, i would be grateful. But its kind of an “but” here, i think. Maybe you make it to easy for him to come back to your good graces?
Right now Im dating an scorpio and an Geminilady. The gemini make it to easy for me, and i get boring. The sex is good, if not perfect, but she is not kicking my, pordon my language, ASS enough. I guess thats why im “care” rather if she leave or stay. The scorpiolady on the other hand, kicks my ass to the curb, and i have to step up my game, as an worrior I am. I have been dating her over years. We are in our fifht year, i think, and i have not managed to completely come into her good graces. It is an “but” her to, and thats the destroying part. Fire have an tendency to burn our if it is not handled good.
Dont get me misunderstood, becouse what you said whas realy touching and beautiful, real and profound, just as it should be.
I guess my job is done here, huh?
