Mercury

Mercury is the smallest planet in the solar system and is therefore regarded as the planet of youth and childhood. It is a very sprightly planet in comparison with the other planets. In mythology it was thought of as the messenger of the gods.

Mercury is the planet associated with changeability, although it’s principal quality is cleverness. These people will no doubt have knowledge on all subjects but it won’t be a deep knowledge as Mercury does not like to stick around. And this forms itself in different ways. It can of-course mean academic brilliance, bringing a very bright and quick witted mind to it’s subject but also may bring excellence to those in the darker sides of life including thieves and fraudsters!

A person who is ruled by Mercury will always be there with the punch line before anyone else. ‘Silver tongued’ is one expression used to describe Mercury people. They are the communicators among us. And also the ones with the biggest telephone bills! These people are the ‘Peter Pans’ of the Zodiac, as they prefer to never grow up!
In astrology Mercury rules the Signs of Gemini and Virgo. It’s houses are the third and sixth.
