If you were to walk up to a woman in China and call her a Snake she would most probably be flattered. If you did this in any other country you would more than likely get slapped. Westerners do not want to be considered a Snake. However, Snakes are beautiful, in some way they are all gorgeous. You will never see an ungroomed Snake. They don’t exist. Cosmetics, Jewelery and all sorts of things are sacred to the Snake. They are accessory nuts as well and will no doubt have cupboards brimming with bags and scarves, all of course, designer. They wouldn’t, couldn’t have it any other way.
One of the Snakes lesser qualities is their laziness. Mornings are not their favorite time of day and having to get up and be at work on time can be testing for this slinky creature. They must battle daily to stay alert and fight the desire to slither off back to their lair of silken sheets.
Snake people don’t tend to just fall in love, they enchant their lovers. They swirl around them taking in every part of the other persons being until they are one. This is also known as a bad case of possessiveness. For the Snake loves to have complete faithfulness in a partner, which is strange as they are not always that good at it themselves, they are so good at charming people and so attractive that people often just fall at their feet, and they find refusing such a horrible thing to have to do, we wouldn’t’ want to hurt the persons feelings now would we?!!
Snakes always seem to have their pockets full of money. And they do love to go out and buy some seriously expensive items. I have known Snake women with so many expensive shoes and bags they have had to have a room dedicated to them. However, they are not spend thrift and probably are not the best people to go to for a loan. They don’t mind the occasional shopping spree but are useless at the mundane everyday household grocery type of shopping, so their cupboards are very often filled with Champagne, cakes and salmon. They are not bread and milk people, and even less, meat and two veg.
Snakes are not one of the healthier signs of the Chinese Zodiac. And illness’ can start in childhood especially if there is a lot of stress around them. This can lead to ailments when they are older such as kidney stones and digestive and urinary tract infections. To try and combat this the Snake should always try and drink plenty of water, and then it should be the finest mineral water to keep his system clean. It is a must to stay away from fizzy wines and although Champagne is drunk like water by Snakes, it is a definite no no I’m afraid. They also don’t recover well from illness and injury and normally stay coiled up for quite some time before emerging to take on another day. The Snake must try and take gentle exercise such as swimming and perhaps jogging. Certainly not anything too heavily physical such as boxing and even tennis. They must rest often and give their delicate mind time to unravel.
Snakes are most compatible with: Roosters and Oxen are known to keep you in check. Dragons you will enjoy immensely between the sheets but Tigers are one of the worst alliances you could make, as is the meeting of your nemesis the Pig!

Pleaz help. My step mother is a snake, I am a pig. She has been so mean to me ever since my dad married her. It has caused me not to have much of a relationship with my dad. What should I do? Should I stay away or try to have some sort of a relationship?

my mum is a snake, and is beautiful. she always loves her nails done lol. my mums best friend is a pig, and really get on! i mean they have there moments. but they get on :S my mum dont get on with my sister tho who is a tiger. they fight alot i try to stay out of it lol. i love my mum to bits tho! we get on very well

I am a bear and once met a snake scorpio.
She was flirting, I kept my distance but felt attracted as well. Well, soon the contact deteriorated into drama and pain, with a snake lying and a tongue acting like a knife. It was very hurting and still ask myself why i had to meet her. I won’t go into further details to keep this an anonymous report.
Keep your distance towards snakes that lie ! (not all of them do, to me, and I learned my lesson as well).

You forgot to mention just how downright sensual Snakes are, as much as they try to repress it.
I had a question about Horse/Snake compatibility. Nearly every website I go to says that we are “opposites” or we’d be better off as casual friends, but I highly doubt it because I’ve yet to see proof of that, in mine or anyone else’s experience. I’m a Horse and my one of my most succesful relationships was with a Snake. Some of my longer-lasting and more loyal friendships are with Snakes. I also tend to be highly attracted to most if not all Snakes I encounter. So, what gives? Why are Horse/Snake couples frowned upon constantly?

Your right, snakes are sensual and yes snakes and horses do make a teriffic team. And you are also right that a lot of people frown upon it. Snake people are enchanting and us Horses do get struck by their charm almost instantly. And yes there can be many pleasurable times to be had with these two. Like you I have also had a few very good snake friends but I do think the reason we stayed friends for 20 years was more to do with her other signs than just the Chinese Zodiac. Snakes can be a tad too slippery for Horses in the long term and it certainly isn’t wise to enter into marriage with one if you happen to be one of the more possesive Horse people. Oh wow, I’m a snake. I know for sure that I’m a “charmer” but not to an extent. Also, I must admit I’m quite lazy but we snakes have critical brains. Interesting part about Boars/Pigs, (the opposite and “enemy”) they always come in my way and I find them very different. I fall for them than any other. I don’t know why. My mother was born under a Pig. She’s a VERY domestic home-ly loyal mother who wants her home to be very clean consistently. We do have big fights. We don’t really understand each other but we resolve it often. If you have a Pig and Snake compatibility there will be major, I mean MAJOR highs and lows for sure.

I am also a snake, I found it very interesting that I was born during the year of the snake and the time makes me a Fire Snake. Also, my location of birth was in the place translated by Mayan as the Snakes Nest.
The descriptions are very liking to my personality, which adds even more intrigue to the chinese zodiac. I’m O Positive though and do not know much about the blood affect on me, I’ll look into it. If you were to share a little more on the subject I’d be appreciative though.
We do not lie, but I will tell you that there is a fine line between lying and its crossing is based upon the persons intent. I find the gift bestowed upon snakes is that we are able to describe or tell things from a point of view which a person can mis interpret, hence consider us a liar which is not the case.
I guess you could think that a snake who is young or unlearned in “not being selfish too much” can hurt people, not really wanting to though because it is our nature to help.

@ Solidus. ‘We do not lie’? Then why did actually the snake that I met lie - as its character description in genereal terms also suggests. She lied over the use of drugs. To me, there’s no actual way that’s more harmful to ‘respect’ towards any other person than ‘lying’. You either take yourself and the other serious, or you just create an image of yourself.
Curious to know how people can actually lie without excusing themselves for it.And without having a reason for it.
It’s well beyond my ethics anyway.

I’m a fire snake and completely the opposite of your description of snakes. I love mornings, I get up at 4:30 to hit the gym every morning, I’m totally not lazy, I don’t have designer clothes and bags though I could afford it, and as far as appearances I like not looking “put together”.

I am a Taurus/Snake male. My perfect match was a Cancer/Tiger. I say “was” because I lost her to death when she ran a stop sign back in 1999. I was absolutely crushed! Almost 10 years later, I’m still in love with her and my heart won’t give itself up completely when I try new relationships. i find it is kind of true because my bf hasnt been paying much attention to me. back a couple months ago when we first dated, he was really into the relationship until we had our first argument during the end of december.he use to text me a heaps and call me everynight. A married lady who is a taurus snake tried to snatch my husband away. She is married with 4 small kids. My husband is a very handsome and succesful man and she slithered her way into his heart and mind and body and soul. She is ruthless and selfish.
I was pregnant and so very distraught at the discovery of the affair. My husband left her soon after but she won’t admit defeat.

I’m a pisces earth-snake, which makes me the laziest of the bunch. It’s surprising I actually had the energy to write this post.I’m sort of dating another pisces earth-snake. The fact that I said “sort of dating” is very indicative about this relationship. Neither one of us knows where its going or where its at for that matter. I’m an aquarius-snake woman and I have to say that the snake description does not fit my personality well. But then, I guess if you factor in my western sign it sort of makes sense. I do share many of the aquarian traits you describ minus the hyper-aggressiveness, but only a fraction of the snake ones seem to fit. The aquarius-snake combo can sometimes come into conflict which can be a maddening situation when it does (mostly for me). Oh, and if I remember correctly, the snake sign is usually said to be yin (or female) and not yang… I’ll come back again though, cause I’m curious to see what you’ll say about aquarius-snake people…
So, for the record, I am a loyal person and I don’t flirt with others when I am involved in a serious relationship with someone. In my mind, when you love and trust someone, there is no one else. I can be opionated, but I always listen to what others have to say and try to see things from all sides. I don’t know whether I come off as sensual or not to others, but I know that I can be when I want to. I can, however, come off as aloof at first. I am not super social in the chit-chat sort of way, although I do enjoy people watching a lot. I enjoy the company of close friends and family very much, but I also know that I NEED my space from time to time. I also need to know that I am loved faithfully to be able to love others faithfully. I am a down to earth person and a daydreamer at the same time. I try to see people as they are, not just as they appear to be, and treat them as equals. I don’t mind following if I trust the leader. Actually, I prefer following, it mostly takes the pressure off of me (more time to daydream!).

I am a Gemini/Snake, Leo rising. Everything that this site says about the Snake is 100% true in my case, except for the lying. Snakes arent dishonest because that is something we abhor in others. We expect true loyalty from our family and peers and will do all we can to be loyal as well. Because we are sexy and beautiful it is natural for the opposite sex to be extremely attracted to us, and we do love admiration. But I wouldnt say we flirt. Several time in my life men have thought I was flirting with them but I was only saying hi, but I guess I looked so cute saying it lol.
It is true that we cant live without luxury and money comes easily to us. We tend to marry men/women who are well off. In my case I married a Libra/Ox Scorpio rising who owns a successful business and he spoils me rotten. Snakes do have to be watched however. I am a Cancer Dragon.. i have been having an affair with a Pisces Snake for the past year now. We get along ok.. But i tend to stray after a few months. I am a capricorn horse with a moon in scorpio, descendant in Libra and born during the hour of the snake. Coincidently, I noticed that I totally operate under Libra and the snake, not capricorn horse. Everything, I’ve read in the snake profile describes me to the letter. My behavior is totally a snake. I can’t live without luxury, love and live to shop, love beautiful expensive fine jewelry and things, especially from top designers. Very picky about a mate, will not date anyone that is not attractive (in my eyes), and cannot keep me in the lifestyle I have set out for myself. My apt. is decorated in a parisian decor, and I refuse to go on vacation and stay at a place that is not in accordance with my surroundings at home. Hahaha! To my understanding, Rats and Snakes do NOT get along. I’m a Snake and both of my parents are Rats. She completely misinterprets practically everything I say, even the simplest of things. She also accuses me of being too illusive and secretive, which is, in my view, a total lack of understanding where I am coming from and why I do what I do in the first place.
And yes, I have been very aware of my “charm” since I was young. Snakes can be deadly when the intent and heart is selfish and have not overcome/transformed their own flaws into something so beautiful, not only to their own advantage but to the advantage of themselves as well as others. To bring out the tranquility that resides in their calm demeanor into their surroundings, both personal and impersonal.

Something I’ve noticed about Snakes: When it comes to romantic relationships,they have a hard time letting go of their lover, especially if it’s another Snake. I’ve known Snake/Snake couples that have been on and off for years, through good and bad. One of my longest and probably more meaningful relationships has been with a Snake. He had such a hard time moving on when we first broke up, and we indeed were on/off for years as well. Eventually, it was I who had to end the relationship for good. It was not pretty nor easy. I still have regrets and guilt, but I could not spend the rest of my life with him. Has anyone else had experiences like that?
There’s a Snake guy I’m currently interested in, but the only thing in the way is his Snake ex-girlfriend. Something tells me either one or the other is not completely over the relationship they had, but I guess that’s just as well. I might end up in another suffocating Snake enchantment and a Horse who’s frail when in love can’t have that.

The very first time I learned that my birth year, July 1989 falls under the Chinese Zodiac SNAKE, that was truly freaky and hair-raising. Of all the animals, I am most frightened of such but ironic that my Chinese zodiac falls under this animal sign.
For now, I cannot say anything about love since I haven’t had any relationship though but the characteristics such as being aloof, quiet and lazy are so true to me! Why I say so? People whom I’ve been with always put on that I have my own world and tend to be a loner. And yes, I do white lies if I think it’ll do me good or if it’s such an escape from any sort of “trouble”…and it’s true that I am mentally and physically active during night times and struggled to wake up and work on daytime.
I remember one local artist who noticed me in just one look, and out of nowhere, he just told me up front that I have this sort of “strong personality” in which I was a bit skeptic about…I don’t know up to now what he had seen/observed on me that made him say that

I am Snake and a Scorpio (to make things worse) and you do have a good eye. We do have a hard time letting things go. Once we are comfortable and in love with our partners it’s pretty hard to move on after a break up, to accept change in general. We do take things to heart. Eventually we learn to deal with the change, so it is pretty hard and be serious and careful if you do want to have serious relationship with another Snake. Chances are that if he knows you’re interested and you show it he may want to be with you. I don’t know what the deal is with his ex or why they’re still stuck but again, changes are pretty hard for snakes. I’m still having a hard time to let go of my beautiful Sagittarian girl and we broke up 1.5 years ago. We still talk and remain as “friends” but it is pretty hard to let her go, she’s just an amazing person and by far the greatest lover I’ve ever had/have.

and I consider myself very intelligent and I am sensitive and have psychic talent. I always read people like a book at the first sight and believe me I am rarely wrong. I happen to have a very generous heart and I am very kind. What comes to lies I don’t lie, don’t cheat and I am very loyal to my partner and my true friends. Well I have a great friend that is a libra/snake and we click so damn well. She is a very flirtatious and charming woman and the men she wants, she gets not doubt about that lolz. She is twice my age and a really good friend. Just I am a Sagittarius/Ox, and I get so well along with her because Sagittarius makes great friend comparisons with Libras and my Ox side makes great love comparisons and friendships with snakes. At first I was like what ever when I met her, thats the Ox side of me always observing lolz, but then we just clicked later on… So in conclusion, Snake and Ox make deep deep friendships with one another and it has been proven to me…

I believe about horse and snake better off as acquaintances only.
I am a horse with a Fire Snake brother, Fire Snake colleague and other Snakes cousins. I find that apart from being charming, entertaining, interesting and good conversationalists (this part means with people they are comfortable to speak with), they are also conniving, scheming, prone to lies, penny-pinching scrooge, two-faced people and have self-serving interests. They are also prone to jealousy over almost everything - they are very good at keeping that part hidden most of the time.
Horse and Snake usually have high temper but in different way with horse’s being more childish and Snake’s more violent.
My brother loves provoking people and delights when people squirm in pain, confusion or turn against one another. He used to like to bully my siblings mentally, emotionally and physically. He enjoyed being in power and making other people powerless. Now they are all grown up and they don’t like him at all. They remember everything. Now, my brother is casted away. He is powerless.
My colleague use up a high pressure water from a standup pipe to spray her own aging mother once and it’s all over a small domestic problem. She was the same person who turned the whole team against me when I first joined in. Over time, everyone saw that I meant no harm - I looked arrogant but that’s just confidence after all. They said they understand that she was actually jealous and I was not the first victim. She still scheme behind me but I’m keeping her in check. And wondering what I am doing behind the scene will keep her busy enough while I do my own things… which is to enjoy the world of merriment with my friends (^.^)…

Snake people are very flirty. I have a married snake colleague. She was married with three children but she has wandering eyes. Every time a new colleague joined in, she was sure to marr the person with bad advertising just so the male (which, by the way, made up 75% of the team) will lose interest in her. The former new colleague endured very bad publicity and people treated her bad because of the snake person, while all the while this snake person pretend to be her best of friend. Snake woman copied the former new colleague’s fashion styles down to minute details but gossiped behind her. Then when the former new colleague left, snake woman appeared relieved. She took on flirting with the single guy who was said to be flirting with the former new colleague. It turned out she had been flirting unsuccessfully with the guy before because the guy had his eyes on the other woman. When the woman left, she was very happy because she no longer had any competition - until the new woman joined in… and she started the whole things again…

Hi - I am a Gemini/Snake — I have been married to a Horse/Leo for some 32 years now. Somehow we have managed to stay married and together through thick and thin… Maybe because of our other zodiac signs (Gemini/Leo) are very compatible… Who knows…. I am an earth snake born September 1 1989 I’m a Virgo but I have a cancer rising but a Leo sun, moon and mars!! I do lie all the time but it’s usually to avoid confrontation.. But I find the earth snake very accurate for me… I have won thousands at casinos…. I can always get money and I love my BMW… However I am super lazy and I hate working..
