I am a Taurus and I completely agree about what you have to say about our diligence and attention to detail in relationships. We are constant and steady. I will say that if we do disappear after expressing interest, it will not be because we’re fickle or have lost interest, it’s more likely that we’ve been hurt, discouraged, or rejected and need time to nurse our wounds, think things over and plan our next move. This can take a lot of time, unfortunately. I’ve disappeared for months while being in love with someone, but only after I felt strung along or pushed away.

I am a Taurus, and the author’s statement “don’t even think about looking at anyone else, flirting is out of the question and in some cases even talking casually to a member of the opposite sex is banned.” could not be further from the truth in my case. I was never jealous of my wife having friends, and indeed actively encouraged her in all positive aspects of Life - and when I started dating again I was stunned to find that many women deliberately tried to make me jealous, or otherwise fabricate some sort of insecurity, and then THEY were stunned when I did not follow their nefarious plan - that shows just how insecure they were.

What an interesting thread! I am surprised to see so many fellow Aquarians reading about this topic. There’s a strange attraction between Taurus and Aqua, although the long term seems to get pretty rocky. When I read Becky’s post it seemed almost spot on for many of my Taurus friends. But I also have a few Bulls in my life (a girl and a boy) who are extremely unreliable, flaky, and unfaithful. One is an ex boyfriend who could not hold a job, treat me well, or communicate emotion. Although he is still a good friend of mine, we occasionally clash like lightening. This particular Taurus is a love/hate type who cannot decide whether he wants to kill me, or love me senseless. He drives me crazy, and even though I know it wont work in the long term it’s so hard to resist sometimes. Fatal attraction?

I disagree with this whole thing. The taurus I know is very cold, uncaring, and a player. He acts if you are never good for him. You could give him the world, and it is still now good enough. I have given up on him, But for some reason he seems to return on his own. Then once I feel comfortable with him, he does the player thing all over again!

hello i have a taurus boyfriend and hes amazing! the bad thing is… my friend becky has a boyfriend and when they leave eachother they hug and say bye and all that but mine…dosnt even say bye! my friend had a word with him and he hugged me and said bye. but i dont know if its just a one off or if hes gonna do that everyday now :/
i really love him and he loves me too i know this cos of a couple of things lol but i dont know what to do :/

Taurus people are faithful if you have their heart. If you dont they will disappear. I am a Taurus woman and I tend to be distant sometimes not returning phone calls and sometimes disappearing for weeks in my own world but sometimes not on purpose. Taurus people love to make themselves busy. But to those that have my heart I dont disappear on them. So if your girl is disapearing thats because she doesnt want to be with you but her guilt or sometimes lonliness wont allow her to totally break it off from you.

I am a female Taurus Snake and I must say we are only harped about our “loyalty” and “faithfulness” but all too often Air and Fire signs don’t appreciate the nature of Earth. It is not just our steadfastness, but the combination of our sensual creativity and eye for detail. We often are made out to sound like the most boring sign of the zodiac but in my experience that is far from the truth. We love to laugh and have a good time and are very artistic. At our worst we become jealous, but it is only because we like to know we have a place in others hearts the same way they do ours. We can so easily access and demonstrate our feelings once comfortable which few others signs can do. Taurus really gets a bad rap, but that’s only when you approach us by the horns. People assume that because we are direct, they can be straightforward as they see us being, but the truth is we are ruled by VENUS. Our directness is tempered by diplomacy (when mature), which many people fail to correlate. We require someone as thoughtful and patient as ourselves (or appears that way) to show our true nature. Often times we have a reputation for being aloof, but really we just don’t want to waste our massive strength on triviality. We choose to overlook things we don’t want to deal with. Yes, I am a bit VAIN, but after all, who else will give the big bad bull credit after years of hard work? It seems no astrologer! No hard feelings, I can see how a mean bull could turn you off from us.

I think the more important traits of Taurus are STRENGTH - we keep going when everyone else has given up. JOYOUS - we freely share our joy and happiness. ACCEPTANCE, GRACEFULNESS, MATURE, MODEST, CAPABLE, RECEPTIVE, COMPOSED, AUTHENTIC, INTUITIVE, DEPENDABLE, HIGH STANDARDS, IDEALISTIC.

For all people with negative Taurus experiences, remember we are very peaceful people. Don’t jeopardize our security and we will be the best friend/lover in the world. Approach us with warmth and kindness and you will receive the same. We don’t like coldness or passive agressive behaviors. Openly express your desires and emotions and we will be much more sympathetic. A lot of times people think we are so mean, but it’s only when started off on the right foot. We need everything to be built on a firm foundation.

I had a relationship with a Taurus male for about 1.5 yrs, we fell in love really fast. He is 4 yrs younger and was 27 when we began dating, he had never been in a relationship for more than 2 months or so. He and all of his friends basically said he was so picky that a few weeks into dating someone he would loose interest and end it before it got serious, with me he basically fell really hard and did not leave my side, wanted to be with me every second of the day (literaly smothered me) then took a job accross the country, moved back in with his folks so that he could save money come back to CA and start a family with me. He thought our love could survive the distance, he was naive and had not even had this serious of a relationship much less a long distance one. Anyway the distance tore us apart and we hurt eachother badly, we both got depressed and miserable and went back and fourth, breaking up geting back together which was brutal. I am a pisces and very emotional, he screws up and accuses me of being “crazy”, turns everything around on me then eventually realizes his errors and appologises, I’m not saying I’m innocent we both did our share of hurting eachother and I trully think he deeply loves me but doesn’t accept my feelings as being valid unless I “explain” my side, towards the end I got very frustrated and angry and I said awful things to him, to hurt him which I did. We recently tried to be friends, I apologised sincerely and he said he loved me unconditionaly and would always and wanted to be friends and maybe who knows more someday once we got over some of this pain, then we had another argument and he basicaly sent me a horrible and incredibly hurtful email and has not apologised, at this point I don’t know if he is just being stubborn or really disdains me. In the end the situation was caused because of his insensitivity and one of his friends and I just reacted, I know I owe him an apology for handling the situation wrong but at the same time I believe he should apologise for the awful things he said, basically called me a crazy monster and said he could not be in my life because I broke his heart. I feel like I’ve apologised for so much, even things which were not my fault and I just can’t do it again but I hate knowing that he may be out there hating me and knowing that he really believes what he said. I’m not trying to win him back, I think we’re not right for eachother but I miss the friendship and believe our love was real (he has also told me many times he cannot imagine his life without knowing me but its weird that he has not reached out), I just wonder if he just needs time or what? Do taurus men just stop caring about someone overnight or is this stuborness? Any thoughts would be appreciated. BTW there was never any cheating on either end, we were always loyal the hurting was all done because of breakups and painful words. Thanks.

I am a rare taurus male who holds the best qualities from every sign. I am not always stubborn, only when it comes to love. Falling in love is a chemical reaction, staying in love and loving someone is a choice. I have greta moral standards about being faithful and loyal, not because I am a taurus, but because I do not like to hurt others and I do not like being hurt. I don’t know about other taurus, but I love to learn about everything and enjoy being spontaneous. I get along with any sign that selfishness is there only quality. I am very forgiving, but only if you last after my temper. A bad one at that, but only in justified cases.

i dated a taurus boy, and it was the best love of my young life. unfortunately i am an aquarius. it was amazing until our points of views collided. he DID disappear. he DID miss my phone calls. he kept in all of his feelings for the most part making it difficult for me to understand him. i am a typical aquarius in almost every single way. so i got flighty and annoyed, so i just “didn’t deal with it”. which proceeded to piss him off more and more. i do not understand how we were so compatible on every other level. sex, music, style, conversation, and even our other interests. we had similar goals, and we could finish each others sentences. i have to say, that i do not understand the taurus.

All of these are so true! It seemed that Becky described me here..Now more of the fun part, as I just noticed myself as time passed by. I am somehow afraid of change and the uncertain, this might be rooted from the fact that since everything has been stable, a streak of change would be welcomed slowly. It is not that I do not want change, it somehow came from the formation of habits on the long course, that made me feel so secured and “comforted”. Remember, Taurus are so into security, that everything has been assured, and when all of a sudden, you will tell me knock knock change..Uh-uh, it won’t happen quickly on my end, mind you. I will take this one thing at a time, slowly but surely.
I have had relationships with a Virgo, Cancer, Libra and Pisces. And I am thankful that somehow these signs really clicked with a Taurus. I mean the general attitude and all (upon reading the other compatibility posts here). They were really present with each signs. With a Virgo, everyday is a combination of challenges and monotony. When we were together, he has his own way, and I have my own, but we never had major arguments. With a Cancer, oh boy, there are whirls of extreme emotion, since he was very emotional and family oriented. He prioritized his family first. As a water sign, he can read my feelings, and secrets, intuitive, to the point of paranoia, he always thinks in advance, and oddly whatever he thinks of happens! Apart from being emotional, he is a real kind person, and would think twice before he would say something hurtful, most of the times, it is I who say hurtful things, (when I am pushed to the limits) to this Cancer guy. He understands me so well, and would really make his way most of the time, just to please me with the small caprices I request him to do. We lasted for about 3 and a half years, so I really agree that cancer-taurus relationship works. With a Libra, everything was spontaneous, airy and exciting. A breath of fresh air, I must say. The conversations were so stimulating, any topic would do, since he is intelligent. We find luxury addicting, that we spend half our cash just so to be in a fine dining restaurant, and do unplanned getaways. Hah, it just so liberating to be with a Libra. He knows the things I like, probably because we have the same ruling planet of Venus. Funny it made seemed, but it just so happened, that I fell in love with these signs, and given the opportunity again (hey, am thinking like a Taurean, habits dear!), I would choose these signs all over again.. The current one that I have is a Pisces, and everything is smooth sailing. Pisces really compliments the flaws of a Taurus. I am stubborn, but he can make my stubbornness turn into a good one. He knows when I am about to be pissed off, and when to stop. He can be a psychic of my own being, brings out the best in me, shower me with compliments, and make me feel the most-loved woman in the world. In return, I just so love him with all my heart. Do I need to elaborate how I love him dearly? Oh well, I provide him with all the affection he can have. I listen and understand him. I let him do his own stuff, I don’t try to suppress him with matters he enjoy (like his band), I join him, since Taurus are musically inclined. I also treat him as my best friend. In all the relationships I had, I treated them as my close friend, during the course of our relationships. And that made them open up with me, their true personalities.
