Good and Evil in Astrology |
![]() |
For some strange reason which escapes me the good, great, kind and caring people of this World never seem to get a look in, people seem far more intrigued by the bad, which saddens me greatly. I have made a short list of some great people throughout history who helped to shape the World in which we live and changed the lives of so many people, FOR THE GOOD! Their signs both Western and Chinese really do give away their remarkable strength and kind way’s and could certainly teach us all a lesson in helping one another out!
Good people
Gandhi – Born – 2nd October, 1869 – Signs - Libra/snake.
Mother Teresa – Born - 26th August, 1910 – Signs - Virgo/dog.
Florence Nightingale – Born - 12th May 1820 – Signs - Taurus/dragon.
Bob Geldoff – Born – 5th October 1951 – Signs - Libra/rabbit.
Nelson Mandela – Born – 18th July 1918 – Signs -Cancer/horse.
All of the people I have listed above have given a great ammount to the people of this World one way or another. Each of them have signs that represent not only kindess and love but also strength. We see this especially with Florence Nightingale who was a Taurus/Dragon. Both Western and Chinese signs are very driven, Taurus is very practical and has a great sense of adventure. People who met this remarkable Woman would have either loved or hated her, but never anything inbetween. She was most certainly a force to be reckoned with and could easily have put her great power house energies into something darker like those men who I mentioned on my previous post. However, this wonderful lady did everything she could to help people, but I doubt whether she was ever described as being tender and kind, the simple fact is that you cannot help people if you are weak, especailly vast numbers of people, to see that much pain and suffering takes a lot of stregnth indeed.
Mother Teresa is a Virgo, which brought her practicality and down to earth groundedness, her Chinese sign is that of the Dog, and this brings endless compassion and quite a worried disposition. Certainly a very caring person here, and Dogs also want to completley get rid of the bad in the World and turn it into good. Sometimes Dogs can become overwhelmed and can try and run for cover, but having Virgo to make her more level headed would have helped her out for sure. Both Gandhi and Bob Geldoff are both Librans. A wonderful sign and I have never heard of a bad person who was born with this sign. There is a huge capacity to heal others and a determination to spread love and treat people with compassion.
Gandhi’s Chinese sign is Snake, which would have helped him to lie low and spend periods of time thinking and reserving his energy. Bob Geldoffs Chinese sign is of the Rabbit, which is not a strong sign, I think we have seen the pressure that he has faced over the years and has handled it very well. A Libra Rabbit wants nothing more than to live in a peaceful fair and just World and over the years Bob has certainly tried to make it a relaity and helped many, many people.
So, Nelson Mandela, a kind and caring Cancer man who has the strength of the Chinese sign of the Horse behind him. His sense of justice was very strong and with the understanding of Cancer and the drive of the Horse he managed to help people in a very real way.
I would love to hear from those of you who are or have been carers for others, who have helped others out whether it be your next door neighbour or for a charity, and let us know your signs as well. It would just be nice for some good people to get noticed and have their say.

I have definitively known Libras who are bad people. For instance, one lawyer that scammed me and other people; he even caused the death of a woman, sadly we found out very late.

My ex fiance was a Libra. Our first daughter was a product of statutory rape, and he hasnt seen her in over two years, previously had only seen her three times, none of those times when it mattered. He is the opitomy of evil to me, but I guess theres always a bad apple..

Sadly, yes, it would seem that people want to only see the bad. That is evidenced by the fact that your posting on good didn’t receive as many comments as the one on bad. Like I stated before, good and evil are subjective. I’m sure there were many people who thought Nelson Mandela was a bad man because they believed in segregation. Not to mention, Ghandi had many opponents. Sometimes loving people are not appreciated, which is understandable. Strange that Martin Luther King wasn’t listed. I think he was either an Aquarius or Capricorn.
