Astrology & pets |

Just recently I have been giving the matter of astrology and how it influences our pets and animals in general a lot of thought. To many this will sound ridiculous, which I understand, but let’s think about it for a moment. Surely any living creature upon this planet is influenced by the same planets as we are? I have my own dog, his name is Dodger and he is a German shepherd/ Golden retriever, he is a wonderful dog and is a Libra/Pig, he lives up to this very well indeed. I started to watch other dogs which I know and soon discovered that they too fall into the signs of their birth, just the same as we do, but less affected than we are by society, and therefore for me as an astrologer it’s lovely to watch my loving Libra being a Libra in it’s most purest form. I have many ideas on all of this that would take up pages and pages but I would really love to know what you all think about this and whether you agree or disagree. So please leave your comments, views, opinions and experiences, I look forward to seeing what you all think!

I do agree because I’ve seen it with the pets of people I know. (Sadly, I’ve never had a pet.)
My cousin has a dog, a feisty Chihuaha who is a Scorpio. Sure enough, she starts barking little fits of jealousy when my cousin is playing/holding any of the other dogs.
A friend of mine had a cat who was also a Scorpio. When he wasn’t busy being sneaky and disappearing off into the night, he would be cute, cuddly and playful, which I guess is Scorpio-ish?

This sounds so funny, but I checked astro signs before getting our current pet. He’s a Golden Retriever and a Cancer. Our old Lab was also a Cancer. Both males, both VERY LOVING. They hug with their body and soul. They need to be close to their master at ALL TIMES. Great pets, very loyal, if you like needy dogs. Need to be rewarded with love, not treats. Intelligent, but you wouldn’t always know it.
I’ve had two females dogs, one was a Shepard/Lab mix and a Taurus; the other a Shepard/Alaskan mix and a Virgo. Both were very earthy, very grounded, didn’t need much more than a stratch behind the ears, smart and fast learners. Independant and protective with great natural mothering abilities, serious-minded. Awesome pets, they understand their role in the family. Easily understands speech. Not so great if you like an affectionate dog.
Just my personal experiences.
I can’t wait to read everyone’s responses! Great topic, Becky!

My 7 lbs. male orange cat is an Aires born in a Dog year. He is a TOTAL Aires Dog! He loves to play and is constantly picking fights with his sister (and winning! very aires) but like a true dog he is aaalllways barcking about something! So frequently that he immediately got his name Squeaky as soon as we met him. (Two of his sisters from the aires dog litter were similarly named Squeak and Squack.) My other orange cat, Carmella, on the other hand only meows once in a blue moon. It’s literally like he walks around the house just griping about this or that like some grumpy old man! But true to his dog nature, he is also very loyal and loving. He’s the best!
Carmella is a Cancer Rooster so she is super affectionate, is always looking for food, and naturally beautiful! She also “takes care” and “mothers” me like a Cancer! When it gets too late she interrupts what I’m doing (which she never does normally) and leads me to bed!
They are the best!

I had a Sagittarian puppy couple of years back, and fondly, I still remember her. She was Sagittarian in every other imaginable way, if I would compare her attitude with that of a Sagittarian female person. She is so full of energy, and she doesn’t want to be pinned down, she would leap her body and feet towards me whenever she meets me, and comparing to a typical puppy’s energy, I was wondering that time where she is getting that tons? So upon reading this, it made me realize, oh well Sagittarians.. lol.. She doesn’t want to be caged nor tied on her neck, and whenever she gets the chance to loiter around after her bath, there she was off to the nearby street, just playing and roaming or would enter inside our house, and hello disaster.. She needs her freedom, so as to say it. And that’s so Sagittarian right?
If only my puppy could talk, probably, she could be really blunt haha ;).. She only barks whenever she feels like doing it, and that would happen if she meets other dogs/puppies. Probably she is doing the “puppy chat” haha

I definitely agree that animals are affected by their sun signs. I have six rescues right now-three cats and three dogs. I’ve got a virgo cat who grooms obsessively, can open doors, and is an expert theif. A pisces cat who loves taking showers and sleeps with his head against neck and his paws around me, and if any of my other animals try to sleep so close to my face he pouts and stalks off. A gemini cat who never shuts up-just like my gemini friend. A dog that we’re guessing is a cancer because he doesn’t like to leave home, doesn’t even need a leash, and is the most loving animal I have ever taken care of. And two leo dogs. The one is a pure bred and is definitely spoiled rotten, refuses to eat dog food or sleep outside. The other is a mystery mutt but even the vet comments on her insanely regal bearing and you bet she’s the hyper social attention hog of all my current animals.

my dog, cas is a libra/scorpio cusp and he’s even tempered and loving yet stubborn, possessive and intense. we had a special connection from day one, though i don’t get along with human scorpios. also, the libra part must balance things out. my cat, sash, is a gemini. she’s stubborn as hell, feisty, demanding, jealous and talks(meows) a lot just like her human counterparts.

this may hold true.
I have three cats and they all have very different personialty traits.
my oldest is a wood roaster, I think she’s a leo but as her birthday is unknown and i can’t remember the exact time of the month i found her i am unsure of this. any how- from what i read about roasters she is spot on. she has a cast iron will, and if she is hungry or just wants attention she will speak out loud and demand it, and if she does something she isn’t supposed to and she gets a stern “NO” she will “talk back”!. the reason i think she’s a leo? she’s by far the queen of the house and she makes it well known, especially when the youngest one is around.
my middle cat and my sisters cat (born no more then a month apart) are both most likely a Pisces and are a fire-dog. they are both gentle souls, they are both friendly (though both need a bit of time to warm up to a person first) and very loving, to other cats and to their human parent. they always seek out effection and both act alot like a dog always needing to be close to me or my sister. my middle- Anna, is the only one out of my three that get’s along and is liked by my two other cats (who can’t stand each other).
my youngest is either a gemini or cancer (he arrived very early in july and was nearly 2 weeks old so i bet on cancer) and is a earth - rat. and let me tell you he acts like a rat!! he is very charming and knows how to get his desired item, be it to simply sit on my lap or get a taste of my coffee or anything else for that matter; yet on the other hand, he will fight with and pick up on the other two. he is not only very friendly but is also very clever and given an option (or not) he will find the “hole in the wall” and will go visit the next door neighbor! or dip his paw in my coffee if i dare leave it unattended!
