The return of this sign marks the middle of the long count of 24,000 or so years. It fell somewhere around the time of the bilding of the sphinx and was problly the reason for all the astrological megaliths from stone henge to the paramids being that if one only judges time passage from the zodiac movement when one goes missing, no matter how slow, it wrenchs everyone out of the rutt of normality and makes the wise take notce. The real thing to watch is the "Dark Rift" of 12/23-25/2012 that will be a big event talked about for generations and is what the mayan calender counts from and to. Apperentally, that is the only stationary refrence point they found to count time from.
