Ophiuchus - The 13th Sign of the Zodiac |

I would just like to say that what I have written below is based on research for those interested in the 13th sign NOT on my own beliefs. I remain a firm believer in the 12 sign zodiac but will carry on my research. To those of you who are heavily religious - please do not use my site to put down those of us who don’t share in your beliefs, this is after all an astrological website so please respect that. Also any comments abusing any person and/or their beliefs will not be approved. The 13th sign of the zodiac, unlike the other 12 signs is actually associated with a real person. In the 27th Century BCE in Ancient Egypt lived a man known as Imhotep. Imhotep was known as ‘Aesclepius’ by the Ancient Greeks, however the attributes are the same under either name.
One of Imhoteps abilities was healing and it is said that it was he who introduced it to mankind. His accomplishments also included a wide knowledge of medicine. The serpent or snake symbol which is still used today to symbolize the medical profession was also used to represent Imhotep. Below is a list of attributes associated with the Serpent Holder, Imhotep i.e Aesclepius. The descriptions below are associated with the 13th sign - Ophiuchus.
- Many people are envious of this subject as he progresses well throughout life.
- A seeker of wisdom and knowledge
- Many people are jealous of this person
- Tends to go for the more flamboyant in dress sense, favouring bright colours.
- Authority looks upon him well.
- Would make a great architect or builder.
- Number 12 is this persons lucky number.
- This person will have a big family but leave home at an early age.
This is the Zodiac as some astrologers believe it should be: ARIES = APRIL 19 - MAY 13 TAURUS = MAY 14 - JUNE 19 GEMINI = JUNE 20 - JULY 20 CANCER = JULY 21 - AUG 9 LEO = AUGUST 10 - SEPTEMBER 15 VIRGO = SEPTEMBER 16 - OCTOBER 30 LIBRA = OCTOBER 31 - NOVEMBER 22 SCORPIO = NOVEMBER 23 - NOVEMBER 29 OPHIUCHUS = NOVEMBER 30 - DECEMBER 17 SAGITTARIUS = DECEMBER 18 - JANUARY 18 CAPRICORN = JANUARY 19 - FEBRUARY 15 AQUARIUS = FEBRUARY 16 - MARCH 11 PISCES = MARCH 12 - APRIL 18 I’m not sure myself about the qualities of that of Ophiucus, but perhaps if you mix Scorpio with Sagittarius you may come up with something along the right lines. Totally disagree. I hope they leave the signs alone. I’m Aquarius and not Capricorn by no means. I totally fit the sign that I am and don’t care what anyone says. Everyone that I know fit their signs, too. I can’t believe all of the sudden they want to change this. I hope it wont happen.

Are we taking it too seriously. I think it’s pretty cool for once that Imhotep FINALLY gets the exposure & credit for his life work. Instead of being vilified and demonized by hollywood.
BUT I am an Aries. I fit the description to the A-R-I-E-S. Pisces? really. How do I jump from fire to water? My dgt is an ARIES she is def an Aries. What’s going on? Maybe I put too much weight on this?!

i always thought i was a pisces but this tells me im an aquarius… i was born on the 20 of march and always thought i was either a pisces or a pisces born on the cusp of aquarius… now i have no clue… i always thought the pisces description fitted me perfectly, now i may have to read up on the attributes of an aqurius… strange

I was born on oct 24 1980, my wife july 5th 1981,all of this sounds very confusing. So far I have considered myself a scorpio, but at this point I almost don’t give a crap, cause I’m very confused, oh well.

Wow. Kinda creepy, while I always shared a lot of Sag qualities, I never felt quite right. I felt a draw to leave my current career field and went into the health care field. Not to mention the weird draw I had to get my first tattoo which was a snake. Creepy.
Maybe the switching of the signs has subtly changed some attitudes and traits of folks which could lead to mass confusion and attitude issues.

I was born 22nd December 1987 - from the day I was born I have been taught and brought up as a Capricorn. All signs in mags and everywhere else you can find them all say I’m a Capricorn, always have. I am a Capricorn through and through, have been even since before I knew what a Capricorn even was.
According to somebody further up in the comments the signs have been changed for those born before 1990 and those born after 1990. Now according to that, I would be a Saggitarius, which is complete and utter bull shit. I don’t see anywhere else changing anything about signs.
What I don’t get is why people are suddenly changing all the signs just now. If these things had actually officially been changed for years, then why is it just coming to light now? Why have everything associated with the signs kept the ones we were taught as children?
They can’t decided that all of a sudden the signs have changed, that on the day you were born your sign was one thing, but now it is something completely different.
To me, this is just a load of people wanting to get the whole world het up about crap because nobody understand it, and will just accept it for what they say it is. These people are obnoxious and are more than likely out to get as much money as they can.

Ok So I’ve been a Virgo my whole life …and I prefer to keep it that way. I’m the definition of a Virgo down to every single word. Also, my boyfriend is a Gemini, and this would change his sign as well and trust me there are definitely two of him lol…I dont think I like this idea it’s dumb…why do people just start messing with everything it was fine the way it was…

huh… I find this to be rather upsetting. I’ve always meshed quite well with my mark as an Aries… according to this new chart I’m a Pisces, on the other side of the elemental chart now. I am nothing remotely like a Pisces… this chart isn’t official, is it?

Since energy is nonstatic, how illogical is it to think that things don’t change.
Since everything in our universe travels around, how illogical is it to think that a astrology map won’t change it’s structure.
It is okay to be change. You’re just adding more fabulous-ness to your wonderful selves … not losing what and how you have been.
It is VERY simple: Be open to new energies coming into the space that is you. Accept it’s benefits and minimize it’s disadvantages. We are all amazing expanding souls. Always receive your empowerment when you are given more power.
