Chiron is a rogue comet that travels between Saturn and Uranus that is known as “The Wounded Healer”, named after the centaur healer and teacher of Greek mythology. The glyph for Chiron is a key representing “Object Kowal”.

My Sister is the one who showed me my true sign which is The Serpent Holder& it totally fits me in every way…anyways, what exactly is this “glyph for Chiron” Stuff?..its confusing the crap outta me…
April 14th, 2009 at 8:03 pm
My rising sign is ophiuchus and as far as I knew I did know what this sign represents contrary to .. I thought that the serpent holder was originally represented not by a man but by a bird.. AKA the pheonix also the national symbols of both the US and Mexico as well as Germany.. Supposedly this is a sign of Regeneration and rebirth.. And I swear I remember living before this life.. I remember being born.. Im just wondering if there is anyone else with their rising sign being in ophiuchus that has had a similar experience..

So i looked this up and now i wonder, doesn’t this screw a lot of things up for everyone?

I am DEC 14… After knowing my numerology numbers and Chinese sign and now this… I’m not buying this!! Saggitarius is the 9th sign!Numerolgy 9 ALSO saggitarius representing the 9th sign… But #9 will be simular to ophiuchus on what they are describing! I do not agree with the dates and what most of it says.. I’m know my self and all my major signs… and I can see why this is not accepted in astrology!! Especially with a ruling a number 9 as Saggitarius … there is humain in that number.. I just don’t agree.. I’m not being ignorant… I think most of this ophiuchus stuff is just phycological!! I havent magically healed anybody before.. Now how about that!! (as a joke) Ohh ohh, I’m not saggitarius anymore.. I don’t feel like advent ture anymore & now I’m not a fire sign, now I feel like a ophiuchus and need to heal people because Im told now I’m a Ophiuchus!!!!! LOL LOL I believe there is some very minor influence with Saggitarius people who hae an interest in the medical field between Nov 30 to Dec 17, who has some minor influence of ophiuchus as a minor star strengh level!! But to tell me I’m not a Sag and now this whole ophiuchus shit along with other western signs not being the other signs of people who they are… GIVE ME A BREAK!! I came across enouth people between Nov 30 to Dec 17 like me and they represent a Saggitarius!!

Hi the SEA,
Thank you for your comment. I happen to agree with you!! I’m not a beliver or even a supporter of this 13th sign, although it’s rather interesting seeing a different outlook I simply don’t think that it works out at all well.
Thanks for your input.

My birthday is Dec 9th. I had heard about this “13th sign” and wanted to do some research (and will continue to do so). I am not so sure myself whether Ophiuchus is me but I respect that other people might believe in it and therefore don’t feel it is necessary to refer to it as “this whole Ophiuchus shit”. I find it very disrespectful.
I appreciate your information Becky, despite your beliefs, it’s just disappointing that you have supported someone else’s disrespectful thoughts in such a way.

Hi there PhxRising,
Thanks for your input on this. I am mystified to how I am being disrespectful? I study this sign every day to learn more about it so I can write more and give a far more thorough outlook on it. I always allow comments from people who have something to say but I am sorry this offended you as much as it has. These are personal opinions which everyone has the right too express.

I have been perusing some of the medieval and renaisance text that mention their varing theories of a possible 13th Zodiac.
My hypothesis is that this revision of the Zodiac also represents an oppuortunity for calendar reform. Thirteen months of 28 days each (4 weeks each month) plus one day, I call Yule of about 25/26 hours at the end and beginning of a year.
Another theory I am exploring is that Ophiuchus would represent the infant Hercules. An archetypical combination of Hero/GodKing and regenerating infant Redeemer. Feel free to add in any mythical celebrity you are comfortable with.

I am not a Virgo but if I am to accept this then I am apparently a Leo and that is far from the truth. I am through and through a Virgo and have literally no Leo traits. I think that the old Greek astrologers and all since disregard this as a primary sign, while acknowledging it as a constellation, for a reason.

Hi Morgan,
How did you find out that your rising sign is Ophiuchus? My moon sign is 8 degrees Sag am trying to find out whether it is in this sign and yes have had similiar experiences.I think it is associated with the Ophiuchus sign.

I think that everyone reading this to start reading up about 2012 and the real meaning of ophiuchus. Rebirth is a key word to remember. The mayan calender has never been wrong and we all have a first class seat!!!
June 26th, 2009 at 5:09 pm
Very true to the 2012 first class seat! Ophicus rising is acting like a saggitarius! Unless it’s the ophicus rising haha jk jk but, we have to keep an open mind, the universe is expanding and changing what if something burnt out or a giant star died or something and that sign stopped being made, or what if that sign only happens when the earth is in a certain part of it’s orbital path, or what if they figured out that they messed up and were like OOOOOOOPPPPSSSSS!!!!!! hahaha now that I know about this I am going to research this myself and start analysing all my saggitarius friends and these ophicureses and see if it is true before my eyes just like the rest of astrology then I will let you know! This is interesting! What does this mean for my Leo, am I compatible with these ophiscuses hahahahaha!?

I’d be a Libra, instead of a Scorpio.
Perhaps the reason a 13th month & zodiac sign are not acknowledged has to do Triskaidekaphobia, or the fear of the number thirteen. It is a common fear of people in our society, but why is a bit of a mystery. There are a few theories as to why thirteen is considered unlucky to so many people. It may be because in the Hebrew alphabet the thirteenth letter is M, the first letter in the word, “mavet,” which means death. The annunciation of the number four in many languages in the far east is similar to that of the word death, as well, and I think that western culture may have consciously or subconsciously picked up on that, because the sum of thirteen (1+3) is four. Another theory is because in ancient Babylonia, China, and Rome 12 was considered a number of completion and perfection, and is followed by 13 (Romans created the calendar). It makes more sense to have equal months of 28 days each. Christians may have stuck to the 12 month system because of Jesus’ last super in which 13 people were dining, and one was to betray him.
Why was it that Ophiuchus, the healer, perhaps preventer of death was chosen to be omitted?
Maybe humans living with 13 months made us too in sync with the universe, we needed something to throw us off/ create chaos.
